Chapter 16 - The Unified Division Meeting (Part 1)

In the main tactical room of Fortex Intelligence, the atmosphere was filled with focus and anticipation. This was the first meeting of the Unified Division, the newly formed joint team established to face interdimensional and intergalactic threats.

Furqon and Zafran sat in the front row with other selected members from various divisions. Dr. Amira, an astrophysics specialist, sat beside them, reviewing her energy reports. Farhan, a strategist from the Strategic Intelligence Division, stood in front of a large holographic screen, ready to lead the discussion.

Once all members had arrived, Farhan opened the meeting.

"Thank you for gathering here. This is the first official meeting of the Unified Division. Our primary objective is to devise a strategy to deal with the energy anomaly discovered in the Georgia dimension. The preliminary data brought back by Furqon and Zafran has been analyzed, and the results show an unusual energy pattern."

Farhan pressed a button on his device, projecting a graph onto the holographic screen. The graph showed unstable energy spikes.

"This anomaly is highly fluctuating," Farhan explained. "The energy output is extremely high, and if left unchecked, it could destabilize not just the Georgia dimension, but also affect our own."

Dr. Amira added, "We suspect that the anomaly might be caused by an interaction between local technology in the Georgia dimension and an unknown foreign element. Investigating this has become our top priority."

Furqon raised his hand to speak. "If it involves local technology, is it possible they accidentally triggered this? Or worse, could there be an external party deliberately causing this imbalance?"

"That's one of the hypotheses we're currently exploring," Dr. Amira replied. "To confirm it, we need more data. But we can't afford to wait too long. We must decide on our next steps quickly."

Zafran interjected, "What about sending an additional exploration team to the Georgia dimension? We might be able to find more evidence at the anomaly site."

Farhan nodded. "That's a good idea. However, this time the team must be equipped with more sensitive energy monitoring tools and time-tracking technology to avoid side effects from being near the anomaly."

Dr. Jarir, who had been observing the meeting from a corner of the room, finally spoke. "All of these suggestions are valid. But before we send a team, we must secure communication and safety protocols. If this anomaly is indeed caused by an external force, they may already be aware of our presence there."

The room fell into a heavy silence. The threat of external interference was always a major concern in interdimensional operations.

"Alright," said Farhan, redirecting attention to the holographic screen. "Our first steps will be twofold:

Develop additional equipment for the next exploration team. Furqon, you're responsible for ensuring the energy monitoring technology is ready before deployment.

Run anomaly simulations based on the data we currently have. Dr. Amira, you'll lead the simulation team."

Everyone noted their assignments. Farhan continued, "We'll reconvene after the new simulation data comes in. For now, focus on your tasks. Time is not on our side."
