Chapter 5 - Caw

Or rather what he expected to happen didn't happen.

Caw!!

The Crow yelled as if to announce its presence.

Shisui was stunned but then quickly relieved by this.

Indeed, he had tried to summon a murder; however, he knew his chakra pathways were messed up to do anything much, but still, he expected at least more than one. Alas, half bread was better than none.

However, there came in another problem, he could not sense the crow in the first place, which took him unaware. This crow was not like the typical sage creature; it was smaller, so it had subpar skills and inferior intelligence. So, how was he not able to sense it?

He had been training to be able to be a sensory type so anything that came within range would register the chakra signature in his mind.

He already had a mental image of the house he was in, however, maybe it was because he never had a ground for experimenting apart from the old man.

This changed a lot of things for him as he immediately had a conjecture

It was either he could only sense those who had no knowledge of chakra control and cloaking, and that would mean this crow's intelligence was above average, or he was going in the wrong direction of being a sensory ninja.

There was also the choice that the old man was playing him, but he kept that note for now.

Either way, it was good that he could summon only one; if he summoned the whole murder, he doubted his chakra would be enough to do what he planned to do.

His rumpled chakra pathways didn't stop him from gathering chakra within his body, and for this reason, one of them was this.

Caw!!!

The Crow cried out again when Shisui suddenly snapped out of his daze and said.

"I can hear you, can't you see I'm blind?" Shisui snapped back in a whisper, but got no reply.

"Regardless, what I'm about to do next requires me to form a special contract with you... If you understand you can say something again" Shisui said and immediately

Caw!!!

"Okay, okay, maybe tone down the voice a little," Shisui said, and then came another problem.

He did not have a contracting scroll.

Forget contracting scroll, it was just a medium. If he had a pen, it'd all be good since he could just draft the summoning contract and seal that he had seen countless times, and allow both parties to sign it.

Sadly, he would not be Able to look for a pen at the moment, nor does he want to call the old man and alert him to what he was doing, when suddenly the crow used its beak to tap on his palm slowly and then continuously.

It tickled at first but as time went on, he understood the pattern and what the crow meant.

Again, he re-evaluated the crows' intelligence.

But without wasting time, Shisui bit his finger, drawing blood, and immediately used the drawn blood to start writing down signs and symbols on his palm
