A month passed, it was now time to go back and entertain to fools. I had just woken when I felt like there was something moving inside of me, and at that moment I realized that I was pregnant. This meant I had to bring everything to an end, but what excuse was I going to use to file for a divorce? I kept conflicting with my thoughts as the carriage made its way to the Earl's manor. Just as I entered the the inner city when I was met with very disturbing news. While I was away, a Red gate opened and the soldier had to war, but without the Death Warrior around. Over 100 thousand lives were lost, including the life of general Lǐ while his very own son was in a coma, not showing any signs of waking up. I felt like my heart stopped beating for a second, my world came trembling down. I got out of the carriage, took the carriage horse and sprang to the general's manor. The Red gate meant demons on the top 10 rank of the most powerful demons in Dìyù were making there way to the human world. Knowing very well that my spiritual powers had been, the end of the world was approaching.
I kicked open the door and rushed to Lǐ Xùyáng's bed chambers. When I got there I found him hanging to the last bit of his life force. Tears started falling from my eyes as I trembled with fear. I got a grab of myself and rushed to his bedside. Mom was very happy when she saw me sit on Lǐ Xùyáng's bed side. I grabbed a shuriken from my right thigh and cut her palm; blood dripped. My hand trembled. One drop escaped and hung at the edge of my skin before I bent, feeding it to Lǐ Xùyáng as if that single drop could stitch him back together. I felt al my remaining spiritual energy fading away as I pressed hard my palm, feeding as my as I could. After I was done, I pulled out my needles and performed a technique called the Fading Soul. It is performed using the blood a dragon to summon back the wandering soul of a person who is between life and death. It is a forbidden technique because of its ability to devour the soul of the person who is using it. Only after when I saw that he was safe, I stood up and left, not wanting to stay in this place that held too many memories of me and dad.
I dragged my heavy body and left for the Earl's manor. Mom wanted to stop me, but all she could do was watch my fading figure as I left the manor. When I arrived at the manor, I found the most shocking scene awaiting me. My very own husband was busy feeding another woman grapes as she sat of his lap. I spent the entire month in the mountain for his sorry as just so that he can bring his mistress into the manor. Not that I care, but that was not the point. The point was that my month away cause many people to lose lives, it caused my father to lose his life and he dares bring his mistress into the manor. I had no reason to kill them before but now, I have more than just a reason to kill them. I kicked the door open and stormed into the chamber holding a sword, my eyes blazed with murderous intent, sharp and unrelenting, daring anyone to cross me. He was so scared that he threw the mistress onto the floor.
"Very well. You dare bring a mistress into the manor after I spent the whole month in the mountains just to cure you. Even a dog knows to bow its head after being fed for a day."
I said, my eyes cold as the dry ice found in pockets on a high ridge of the East Antarctic Plateau, near the South Pole. I launched forward, ready to take them to the afterlife but my body gave in just when I was about to drive the sword into his chest. Everything went black, and all I could hear were distant voices of people asking if I was dead. They took this just to try and get rid-off me, trying to cover up his infidelity. They put me in a carriage and spread the news that I decided to the Afterlife cliff to get the 'Ice Brace'. A lotus flower that grows at the edge of the Afterlife cliff, that can bring back people who are at the brink of the death. This way they can throw me into the abyss and pretend I fell trying to get the flower. An ant trying to bring down a dragon. Isn't that paving its way to Dìyù?
