Legend has it that the world was once a peaceful place where all creatures lived in harmony. Humans shared respectful and loving relationships with mystical beings, though divisions existed among the mystical creatures themselves—based on their origins, nature, and spiritual powers.
The werewolves, known as Lángrén, possessed the strength of wolves and could transform into wolf-like beasts. The tiger men, or Hǔrén, were fierce humanoid warriors with tiger features, renowned for their aggression and physical prowess. The fox spirits, called Húli Jīng, were seductive fox-human hybrids gifted with shape-shifting, illusion, and charm. The bear warriors, or Xióngrén, were large, powerful humanoids known for brute strength and endurance. The snake people, Shérén, bore serpentine traits like scales, forked tongues, or venom, often stealthy and sly fighters. The phoenix kin, Niǎorén, were winged humanoids capable of flight, linked to phoenix spirits, embodying grace and fire. The monkey men, Hóurén, were agile, clever humanoids known for trickery and acrobatic martial arts. The troll and ogre beasts, Guàirén, were large, brutish humanoids with immense strength but limited intelligence. The cat people, Māorén, were stealthy humanoids with feline features, often serving as assassins or scouts. Finally, the dragon kin, Lóng Yì, part dragon and part human, possessed scales, claws, and breath abilities. Proud and rare, they were the most powerful of all mystical creatures.
Though most were predators, the peace was a miracle that befell life. The sunshine greeted the world with a smile, and nature blossomed—until one day, everything changed.
Tang Mùrán, the Monkey King, colluded with a human cultivator to use forbidden books to cast a spell controlling all mystical creatures. But it backfired, unleashing a plague that drove the creatures into a rampage. Day turned to night; kingdoms became pools of blood; innocent souls cried oceans of tears. Women were widowed young, newborns orphaned, and all—young and old—became warriors too soon.
As the world neared its end, humans prayed desperately for salvation. After a year of begging, their prayers were answered. Two powerful purebreds of the dragon bloodline were born: Jīn Huī, the Golden Dragon, and Fēi Hóng, the Black Dragon—also known as The Crimson.
Together, they combined their divine powers to create Wújiàn Dìyù, a realm where mystical creatures were ruled by the strongest, and the uncontrollable were banished to Dìyù (hell).
Fēi Hóng possessed the combined spiritual powers of all beings but chose to seal herself in Wújiàn Dìyù to maintain balance and prevent history from repeating. She refrained from having descendants to avoid risking her powers falling into greedy hands.
Jīn Huī sacrificed her life force to birth ten dragons, known as the Dictators of Life, before perishing. Her ten children were left to help maintain order in the mortal world.
The Ten Dictators of Life
Bái Sè (White Dragon) – Frost Master (strongest of all dragons)
Lán Sè (Blue Dragon) – Master of Water
Zǐ Sè (Purple Dragon) – Master of Lightning
Lǜ Sè (Green Dragon) – Great Shaman and Forest Sage
Hóng Sè (Red Dragon) – Master of Fire
Zōng Sè (Brown Dragon) – Guardian of Mountains and Lands
Qīng Sè (Cyan Dragon) – Grandmaster of Cultivation and Swordsmanship
Yáng Hóng (Magenta Dragon) – God of War
Zǐ Luó Lán (Violet Dragon) – Master Blacksmith
Yín Sè (Silver Dragon) – Guardian of the Skies
After Jīn Huī's passing, the ten Dictators were sealed in the Immortal Realm, summonable only by their direct descendants.
The world found peace again, but it was no longer the same. It was divided into six powerful realms, each protected by a Dictator and ruled by kings under the emperor—the King of Xiānjìng.
The Six Realms
Mófǎ zhī dì – Land of Magic, ruled by the Lan Clan
Xiānjìng – Fairy Realm, ruled by Emperor Piao
Huànjìng – Illusionary Realm, ruled by the Meng Clan
Móhuàn zhī dì – Land of Magic and Fantasy, ruled by the Mo Clan
Shénmì zhī dì – Land of Mystery, ruled by the Xuan Clan
Móyù – Magical Realm, ruled by the Yin Clan
The heir to the throne carried the golden royal blood, descended from Jīn Huī's first child.
The month Fēi Hóng sealed herself away became known as The Month of the Crimson, celebrated in her honor.
One day, however, a mistake shattered the balance.
Fēi Hóng lost control and gave birth to two children—one in the Immortal Realm, the other in the Mortal Realm. Shockingly, the mortal child inherited all her powers and survived, while the immortal child inherited only a fraction.
The birth drained Fēi Hóng's life force, shortening her lifespan. She relayed a prophecy to the late emperor through his trusted advisor, who possessed the Eye of the Future—a unique ability to receive messages from the Dictators.
The prophecy warned:
"Be aware of the one who carries immortality; she is the drifting calamity."
This prophecy was shared in the imperial court before all realm kings, signaling that calamity was coming—and they must prepare.
