"What does this mean, Mrs. Snow?" Bertus said as he looked at Robin. He had witnessed the unfolding of events but did not expect them to escalate to such a degree.
"Tell your son to know his place. He is not a patriarch; he has no say at this table. I have never complained, but if he has the nerve to speak to me like that, then he must face the consequences," Robin said coldly.
"No say? He is my son, and as my son, he will be the patriarch of the Craftstone family in the future," Bertus said in a serious voice, without losing his temper at Robin's tone. Bertus was aware that his son had gone too far, but it was his duty as a father to correct him, not Robin's.
It was embarrassing for Bertus that someone much younger than everyone else in the room had a better attitude than his son. But he couldn't scold his son, not now. Even though everyone here is an ally, it's logical that when the war ends, everyone will seek more benefits.
