While Ronald, Iris and the six martial artists were on their way to on their way where Ye Fan was at, inside a boxing gym located somewhere else within the city...
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
The sounds of punches and kicks being thrown against a punching bag by Ye Fan could be heard throughout the entire boxing gym.
And although he had been going at it for almost an hour already, he had no intentions of taking a break whatsoever.
After all, as one of the four God of War in the West, Ye Fan had incredible physical endurance, and could continously punch and kick all day if he wanted to.
Just as he was minding his own business and continued throwing punches and kicks however...
"Hey! Which one of you guys is named Ye Fan?" A voice that was slightly low could be heard shouting from the entrance of the boxing gym.
All of the boxers and fighters who were inside of the boxing gym were all startled by the sudden ruckus, and they all turned their attention towards the person who was speaking.
When they saw who had shouted however, they all immediately got scared and disastrously ran out of the boxing gym in fear.
The martial artists didn't try and stop them from leaving the boxing gym though, as they actually knew what Ye Fan looked like, and they smiled arrogantly as they watched everyone leave.
Then after waiting for a while for everyone to leave, only one person remained inside the boxing gym.
And that person was of course, none other than Ye Fan himself.
"Heh, what a surprise. To think that you actually stayed back here instead of running out with the rest of those pathetic cowards. I'm quite impressed." The black haired martial artist, who had a tiger claw tattoo crawling up his neck, took a step towards Ye Fan and chuckled.
Ye Fan looked back at the martial artist that had spoken to him, and was slightly surprised as to who would be stupid enough to provoke him like this, but when he saw Ronald and Iris from the corner of his eyes outside of the boxing gym smiling at him, he couldn't help but sneer.
It was clearly obvious that Ronald was the one who had sent all of these martial artists here to try and beat him up just now.
And while he didn't exactly know how Ronald had somehow managed to find his precise location this easily, Ye Fan wasn't worried at all.
He knew that nobody here in this boxing gym would even be a match for him, and only Iris outside can harm him, but obviously she wouldn't do that.
So Ye Fan just directly stared at the black haired man, who seemed to be the leader, and shrugged.
"Well, it's not like I have any better places to be at right now anyways, so why bother?"
"Haha is that so? I'm sure if you knew who we were, then you would've reacted the same." The black haired martial artist chuckled.
"Oh? Okay, so mind telling me who are you guys then?" Ye Fan didn't take the martial artist's words seriously and scoffed.
"You don't have the qualifications to know. Just understand that you have greatly offended someone that you shouldn't of have, and now, you'll have to suffer the consequences because of it." The black haired martial artist then turned towards the other five martial artists behind him and said, "Surround him."
Immediately afterwards, the other 5 martial artists all scattered and circled around Ye Fan.
Ye Fan wasn't remotely afraid of this though, and calmly stood his ground.
"Any last words?" The black haired martial artist grinned and cracked his knuckles.
"Nope, not really, let's just get this over with already." Ye Fan shrugged once again and said casually.
"Fine, suit yourself then." The black haired martial artist nodded his head.
Then, without another moment's notice, all six martial artists all began charging towards Ye Fan at the same time, confident that they could overwhelm Ye Fan easily.
But sure enough, just before any of the martial artists could even throw in a punch however...
BANG!
An invisible force suddenly exploded outwards from Ye Fan and sent all six martial artists flying backwards and crashing onto the wall, rendering all of them but one completely unconscious.
Ye Fan then approached the only one martial artist who wasn't unconcious, which was the martial artist who had the tiger claw tattoo on his neck, and grabbed his collar.
"Now let's just cut to the chase. Tell me who sent you guys here to try and attack me, and I'll show you some leniency." Even though Ye Fan knew it was Ronald who was the one who sent the martial artists after him, since there was security cameras here set up in this boxing gym, he wanted to have the recorded evidence just in case that he would need it later on.
"L-like hell I'll ever tell you!" The black haired martial artist tried to act tough and shouted.
"Are you sure about that? Then what if I do this?" Ye Fan then used his free hand to grab the martial artist's right pinky finger and broke it.
"AAAAAHHH!!!" The black haired martial artist shrieked out in pain.
"For every second you don't tell me, I'll break a finger of yours, and once there aren't any other fingers left to break, then I'll move onto your toes, and after that, well, you don't want to know." Ye Fan threatened.
"N-Nobody..."
Hearing this, Ye Fan immediately bent the martial artist's next finger backwards until it broke.
"AAAAHHHH!! STOP! PLEASE STOP IT! I'LL TELL YOU! IT WAS MASTER KUANGGE WHO SENT US TO DEAL WITH YOU! NOW PLEASE STOP, I BEG OF YOU!" The martial artist screamed louder and quickly confessed everything.
Although the Young Master of the Kuangge family was definitely not someone to be trifled with, the martial artist knew that Ronald wouldn't necessarily seek vengeance against them for revealing who had hired them since he was the type of guy not to honestly care as much, whereas they were completely unsure if Ye Fan would kill him eventually if he didn't get the answer he was looking for or not, and so he didn't want to take that risk.
"Hmm, okay then. Thank you for your honest answer. Then as promised..." Ye Fan then raised his foot up and stomped down hard on the martial artist's left ankle, crushing it completely.
However, just before the martial artist could scream out in pain, Ye Fan quickly punched him straight in his stomach, knocking the last martial artist fully unconscious.
Then after making sure that the six martial artists were indeed knocked out, Ye Fan turned his attention towards the security cameras in the corner of the room and flashed a confident smile.
"Just self defense."
Then without another moment's notice, Ye Fan turned his head over to look at Ronald, and began walking over to him with a somewhat energetic smile plastered on his face.
He knew that with everything Ronald has done to him so far, he was able to finally get some payback once and for all, and he intended to thoroughly enjoy this moment fully.
But just as Ye Fan had exited the boxing gym and was about to approach Ronald however...
THRAK!
A tinned copper net suddenly came down from above and flew down straight towards Ye Fan at a fast pace.
And although Ye Fan wasn't initially worried this copper net to begin with, when he saw that the copper net had a high voltage battery pack connected to it and was sparking with electricity, his eyes suddenly widened in shock as he immediately knew that this was a trap that was set up by Iris, as he had seen her make these kinds of traps before, and he tried to dodge it as best as he could.
Unfortunately for him however, enough time to completely dodge it, and when the copper net had successfully came into contact with him...
SHZZZKKT!
An ear-piercing sound suddenly resonated through the area, and lightning had coursed through Ye Fan's entire body, causing him to completely collapse on the rainy street and convulse.
Ronald, who had clearly been watching the entire thing from the comfort of his car this entire time and had been rejoicing in his heart about the plot finally being normal for once for awhile now, completely froze on the spot and his mouth couldn't help but hang open wide.
'...'
'Wait a second.'
'Isn't the plot supposed to only slightly change?'
'It's okay if the heroines start acting differently from the novel, but shouldn't the protagonist still be able to flourish?'
'But yet right now, the protagonist is actually suffering like this?'
'Is this even the right novel anymore?'
'...'
'FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!'
