Chapter 25 - Martial Artists

The next day, as lightning flashed across the gray sky, and the rain drops fell onto the ground like an unstoppable waterfall, Ronald was seen calmly standing by the windows close to his bedroom sipping tea as he gazed at the scenery before him.

'Rainy weather, huh. How fitting.' Ronald smiled slightly as he took another sip of tea and then put the empty cup down on a nearby table.

Even though Ronald didn't recall the weather being this terrible on this exact day in his previous life, and the weather had actually been only somewhat gloomy the last time around, this current weather was actually pretty fitting in his opinion.

He would even go as far as to say that the current weather right now felt even more fitting for the upcoming plot that is supposed to occur today.

After all, if today's plot goes exactly as planned today, which he was absolutely confident it will today, then the rain and lightning in the background would serve as a perfect curtain to mask the noise and chaos that's bound to occur.

'Surely, with even the weather is helping out this time around. I can't possibly fail the plot this time around!'

As Ronald was debating about whether he should call in the chefs to prepare a five course breakfast for an early celebration or not, his bedroom doors suddenly opened, and Iris came into his room with a wet umbrella in her hand.

"Good morning, Young Master Kuangge. I apologize that I couldn't attend to your needs earlier when you requested for me earlier. I was gone for a short bit in the early morning in order to take care of some urgent matters outside. Please forgive me." Iris bowed her head down 90 degrees and subconsciously glanced at him every so often.

"It's fine, I couldn't really care less about it. The head maid took care of it and made me the tea anyways." Ronald wasn't surprised that Iris wasn't fully attending to his needs like a proper maid since she wasn't even a real one anyways, and needed to relay information to Ye Fan whenever she had the chance to.

"More importantly, did you see anyone waiting outside the mansion after you came back?" Ronald asked as he secretly gave her a meaningful look.

"...I did, Young Master Kuangge..." Iris had a distraught look on her face as she spoke.

She remembered that in her last life, Ronald had hired up a few martial artists in order to beat up Ye Fan, and she was extremely worried.

Of course she wasn't worried about Ye Fan, she was worried about Ronald.

In her last life, because Ronald was unaware of Ye Fan's combat prowess and tried to beat him up with a group of martial artists in public, Ye Fan was able to effortlessly subdue all of the martial artists and beat up Ronald in the process as well.

Then to make matter worse, just as Ronald was getting beaten up, the police had apparently showed up, and helped Ye Fan control the situation a bit while arresting Ronald in the process for trying to incite violence in public.

And although Iris hadn't personally witnessed this scene herself in her previous life since she hadn't cared much about it at the time and knew that Ye Fan could handle it on his own, Iris's heart right now couldn't help but break imagining how miserable Ronald must have felt.

If she could right now, she wouldn't hesitate to immediately rush to Ye Fan right now and beat him up so that he couldn't fight back against Ronald in advance, but since Ye Fan was currently somewhat stronger than her, she needed to approach this situation cautiously and ensure that the outcome this time will be different.

Thankfully, she knew that Ronald was very lenient with her and every one of the servants employed under the Kuangge family, and so she was able to go outside this morning and set a trap for Ye Fan in advance without angering him.

This time, it'll be Ye Fan who will be the one who suffers instead of Ronald.

She will make damn sure of it.

"Good. They're important guests who will be helping me beat up certain someone today, so tell them to come inside." Ronald saw the distressed look on Iris's face and misinterpreted it as though she was worried for Ye Fan.

"Yes, Young Master Kuangge." Iris bowed and then quickly left the room.

Moments later, the sound of footsteps coming from multiple people could be heard entering the mansion.

So Ronald exited his room and made his way down to the living room.

"Hello, Master Kuangge." As Ronald stepped foot in the living room, one of the six martial artist who had black hair and had a tiger claw tattoo crawling up his neck, bowed his head and spoke in a respectful manner.

The other 5 martial artists behind him also bowed their heads as well but didn't say anything.

"Sup, so you guys are the martial artists that I called for earlier, right?" Ronald already knew the answer to this question, but for the sake of it, he still asked anyways.

"That's correct. We're honored to be in front of you, Master Kuangge." The black haired martial artist nodded and put his palm and fist together out of respect.

"Haha, that's good to hear. You guys know what you're here to do, right?" Ronald laughed.

"Yes, we do. You want us to beat someone named Ye Fan up without killing him, is that correct?"

"That's right, that dumbass dared to offend me multiple times now, and if I don't teach him a lesson today, then then the entire world will think that I'm easy to bully!" Ronald pretended to get upset and clenched his fist together.

"Don't worry, Master Kuangge. With the six of us here, let alone a single nobody, not even a martial arts expert would be able to do anything to us. We'll definitely make him suffer for you." The short black haired martial artist reassured Ronald and smiled arrogantly.

"Great! Then let's go get that son of a bitch now! I know where he's currently holed up at, so we'll definitely be able to catch him off guard easily!" Ronald casted a sinister look on his face and then headed to the garage in order to get into his blue Lamborghini Aventador.

"Understood!" The six martial artists also went back to their two vans parked outside of the Kuangge mansion and waited for Ronald's car to come out.

But just as Ronald was about to start up the car and head out however...

"Um, Young Master... do you mind if I can come along with you as well? Perhaps I can be of some help." Iris propped her head next to the open window of the passenger seat of Ronald's car and asked.

"Oh? And how can a useless maid like you help me?" Ronald said in an arrogant and mocking tone.

Although Iris hadn't originally mentioned that she could help, Ronald wasn't too surprised by the response anymore, he has already somewhat accepted the fact that there'll eventually be some slight changes to the plot, but it'll still work out in the end.

"I didn't intend to hide it from you before, but I actually have a lot of combat experiences." Iris didn't want to tell Ronald that she was a killer just yet.

Even though she knew that Ronald was extremely lenient wouldn't think anything ill of her even if she had told him considering how lenient he was, she was afraid that Ronald might disdain her and force her to go away from his sights forever.

However, in order for her trap to fully work, and to ensure that Ronald doesn't get hurt whatsoever, she really needed to stay close to him, and this was the only excuse she could come up with on the top of her head that might make him agree.

"Haha, oh really now? Well I don't really care if you can fight, but you'll be coming with me anyways and witness what happens when someone dares to offend me. Consider yourself lucky." Ronald didn't expect Iris to bluntly say that she could fight, but since she insisted and he didn't really think there was anything wrong with it, he might as well let her watch on the sidelines and potentially draw further hatred to him.

"Yes, Young Master!"

And just like that, Iris got into Ronald's car, and they began heading off to where Ye Fan was at.

'...'

'Weird, why do I feel like something is off about this entire situation?'

'...'

'Eh, oh well, doesn't matter to me.'

'Let's just get this show on the road and get this plot over with.'
