Ronald had to wonder.
Where did everything go so wrong again?
Originally, after Ye Fan had stepped out of the boxing gym, Ronald was supposed to be frightened by the fact that Ye Fan had somehow managed to defeat the six martial artists in such an easy and simple manner, and Ronald tried to start his lamborghini and run off without looking back.
But with Ye Fan's unmatchable speed and strength, he was able to easily catch up to Ronald's lamborghini from across the street within a few seconds and effortlessly rip all of the tires out.
This would then force Ronald to confront with Ye Fan one on one about what he had tried doing to Ye Fan earlier, and after some back and forth exchanges with the two, Ye Fan would pull him out of the car through the car window and beat Ronald up viciously until he looked like he was half dead.
That way, not only would Ye Fan be able to actually physically face slap Ronald for the first time ever after returning back to China, but it would also be the very first time that Ronald would ever feel true, raw, and unfiltered humiliation.
That was why Ronald was actually happy about the rain actually being around this time, as the public wouldn't have to witness his misery as much, and he would still be able to complete the plot that way.
But just what the hell was this now?!
Where the hell did this fucking electric net come flying from, and why did it so conveniently appear from out of the boxing gym's roof and electrocute Ye Fan right before he was about to approach him?!
Seriously, just what the hell is going on with this current life of his?
Why the hell are the plots in this life always constantly changing from the original ones?
Could it be that after he died the first time around in this shitty novel, the novel gods from above had decided to alter the plots in the novel or something and completely fuck him over?
Surely, that couldn't be it...
Right?
Well, whatever the case might stupidly be, Ronald was praying to the gods from above to send Ye Fan some kind of plot armor or miracle for him just so he can make it through this predicament and continue on with the plot.
Just as Ronald had been lost in his thoughts and was still praying though, Iris, who was still sitting inside of the lamborghini with him, suddenly spoke up.
"Young Master, you don't need to worry about him. He won't be able to get back up any time soon. I made sure of it." Iris saw the worried look on Ronald's face through the car window's reflection, and she reassured him.
After hearing what Iris had said, Ronald slowly turned his head over towards Iris and stared at her blankly.
Wait a second.
What did Iris say just now?
That Ye Fan won't be able to get back up any time soon because she made sure of it?
But what in the hell did she even mean by that?
She didn't even do anything in the first place and had been in the car with him this entire time, did she not?
So what was she going on about exactly?
After thinking about it for a little bit however, Ronald suddenly came to the realization of something.
"...Were you the one who had set up the electric net to begin with, Iris?" Ronald asked in a surprisingly calm tone.
"Yes, Young Master. That was why I was out so early this morning. I knew in advance that he would be at the boxing gym today, and since I knew that you wanted to punish him based off of the call you had made last night, I took it upon myself to set up a trap for him in advance just in case if the martial artists you hired weren't enough to deal with him. Are you proud of me, Young Master?" Iris looked at Ronald and smiled happily.
Even though she didn't need to get Ronald's confirmation about whether or not he was proud of her, since she already knew that he was anyways, she asked anyways because she wanted Ronald to praise her.
'...'
'Proud of you? What in the actual fuck are you doing? AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE ON YE FAN'S SIDE? ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHING? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME IRIS?' Ronald was fuming with anger now and really wanted to lecture Iris but he knew he had to hold back otherwise he would end up breaking character.
"Yes... you did good, Iris. I'm proud of you." Ronald gritted his teeth and tried to talk in a calming tone.
He really wanted to just pry open this heroine's head right now and dig into her brain right now just to see what was going on inside that mind of hers.
Unfortunately, though, in this shitty novel world he currently resides in where cultivation and other nonsense exists, he couldn't do such a thing without outright causing brain damage and ruin the heroine forever.
On the bright side though, he was at least able to confirm that it was one of the heroines once again who was causing the plot to deviate from its original course.
But as for the reason why this time, he wasn't entirely sure about it.
Unlike the rest of the current heroines right now, Iris should know who Ye Fan is.
Iris before meeting Ronald fully served under Ye Fan after all!
So there should be absolutely no reason for Iris to go out of her way just like the other heroines did, and defend him over Ye Fan!
'Could it be that Iris infront of me really be a transmigrator?' Although Ronald had previously considered this idea before, he had completely forgotten about it after thinking about how the heroines might've been able to read his mind.
But now that he thought about it once again, it seemed like it was the most plausible answer.
Maybe Iris was given a task by a different system to hurt Ye Fan or something, and so she did exactly just that?
Or maybe perhaps she's even a transmigrator that came to this novel world in order to just fuck with him?
And sure, even though the system told him that it was impossible for anyone else to be a transmigrator besides him unless if they came without a system, he felt like the system was too unreliable at this point.
Ronald started to connect the dots in his head and soon came to the realization that he was almost definitely right about this.
As such, Ronald started to burst with joy in his heart and couldn't help but praise himself for being such a genius.
Really, it had felt as though he had just solved the pandora's box.
Unfortunately, that moment of joy lasted for only a moment until he realized something again.
'Wait... if the heroines are actually transmigrators and their goal is to ruin the plot...'
'Isn't that the complete opposite of what I'm trying to achieve?'
'...'
'Well I'm fucked.'
