Secret High Order: The Three Words Mantra

SWOOP.

The Grey Tendrils lashed out instantly, not even waiting for her command. The stones were dragged into her body and consumed before they could even release a wisp of energy.

Burp.

She could almost feel the satisfaction radiating from her Dantian.

"It's bottomless," Lu Xie realized, a crazy grin spreading across her face. "These stones were seen as trash by others... but to me? They are an all-you-can-eat buffet."

...

After experimenting with her Abysmal Star Innate Spirit successfully and painfully, Lu Xie felt confident enough to try Strengthening her second Innate Spirit The Wheeler's Eye.

She summoned a Bloody Rose Flower from her stash. This material was compatible with the blood element of the Wheeler's Eye.

The flower was crimson, dripping with essence, and had a mesmerizing fragrance.

Lu Xie hesitated.

'This, unfortunately was also the exact same flower type that Lord Nineteen Sons—Valia—was holding in his mouth in that accursed portrait.'

She shuddered.

After a brief internal crisis debating whether eating this would somehow contaminate her soul with "Simp Energy," she decided to proceed anyway. Resources were resources.

Crunch.

She ate the petals and stem whole. A juicy, thick liquid quickly formed in her mouth as she chewed, flowing down her throat and settling in her stomach.

Lu Xie grinned triumphantly. "Now... absorb!"

However.

Swoosh.

Lu Xie felt a cold sensation prying its way into her stomach. It was all too familiar.

The Abysmal Star hadn't fully manifested this time, but it had instinctively sent a grey tendril down from her Upper Dantian.

It reached her stomach and ...

Slurp

It drained the Bloody Rose liquid dry before the Wheeler's Eye could even begin absorbing the energy.

Lu Xie was shocked.

"Hey!"

Her Abysmal Star wasn't just hungry; it was greedy. It was devouring energy meant for her other Spirit!

"This is bullying! You are bullying your little brother!"

In frustration, Lu Xie immediately cast half of all her remaining stipend onto the bed. A variety of materials usable for cultivation played out before her, clearly hand-picked by the Coven to suit her needs.

"Fine! Since your appetite is insatiable, why don't you feast on these until you pop?!"

She wasn't going to let the Abysmal Star bully the Wheeler's Eye forever. She planned on stuffing the tyrant until it entered a hypoglycemic coma.

Four Yellow Stones. Fifty Orange Stones. Five Hundred Red Stones.

Plus flowers, herbs, strange ores, waters, and beast cores.

She piled everything before her, sparing only the healing elixirs and the blood-element items she wanted to save for later.

"Eat!"

Like a gluttonous ruminant animal, Lu Xie prepared to binge.

However, she couldn't match the Abysmal Star's in speed nor style.

The Abysmal Star didn't wait. It sent two tendrils out simultaneously—one shooting internally toward her stomach, and the other shooting out of her chest into the physical world.

Lu Xie's eyes widened.

The external tendril was invisible to the naked eye, but she could sense it clearly as an extension of herself. It lashed out like a whip.

SWOOP.

The tendril swept over the pile on the bed.

In a blink, the mountain of stones and herbs vanished.

Devoured clean. Not a speck of dust was left.

As though satisfied with its gain, the Abysmal Star let out a low huff before retracting its tendrils and disappearing back into the darkness of her Upper Dantian.

Lu Xie sat in the empty spot on her bed, her hands hovering in the air where her wealth used to be.

In abject horror, she gave up.

"I clearly cannot get anywhere with this tyrant in the way."

It was then Lu Xie recalled a fundamental truth. The Abysmal Star was the manifestation of her Void Physique.

The Void was the element of Nothingness.

'Could Nothingness really be considered an element?' Lu Xie frowned. 'No. It is more like an Anti-Element. The bane of all existence.'

That explained why it could devour Fire, Water, Metal, and Blood with equal ease. In the presence of the Void, even Light and darkness isn't spared from it's all devouring nature.

"Hahaha..." She chuckled dryly to herself, running a hand through her hair.

"Cultivating the Abysmal Star has become infinitely easier. I can consume literally anything, trash, poison, Chaos Stones. But the downside..."

She sighed.

"I probably can't strengthen my other Innate Spirit or evolve my Mythical Attributes until I find a way to restrain this glutton. Or until I fill it up completely."

But with the massive influx of energy the Star had just been fed, enough to explode a normal cultivator ten folds over, Lu Xie felt like something should have happened. A change. A breakthrough. A level up!

She checked her self.

Disappointingly, she was still at the Mortal Lord - Initial Stage.

It hadn't moved. The energy had vanished into the black hole.

"It really is bottomless."

Fighting off the nagging temptation to consume the rest of her monthly stipend in hopes of a miracle, Lu Xie decided to switch tactics. Physical cultivation was stalled.

She pulled out the manual Lela had given her at The Hall Of Wonders.

The Three Words Mantra!

Despite the name, the book was thick and filled with dense text.

Spending a couple of hours fully reading the book, she closed it, now having memorized its content by heart.

She closed her eyes and mulled over it.

'It is... complex.'

It was vastly different from the Mystic Arts of the Nine Heavenly Realms.

After a few hours of trying to gain enlightenment, she deduced that the book was more fascinating than she originally thought.

'This isn't just a technique,' she realized.

No two people who read this Art would gain the same comprehension. Each enlightenment was unique to the person, shaped by their mindset and experiences—just like a fingerprint.

But most importantly, the manual stated that at final mastery, the cultivator would distill their entire understanding into their own unique Three Words Mantra.

A chant that could influence reality within a certain radius around it's caster.
