CHAPTER 76

Secret High Order: Nightwalker Lu Xie.

'This isn't just a technique,' she realized.

No two people who read this Art would gain the same comprehension. Each enlightenment was unique to the person, shaped by their mindset and experiences—just like a fingerprint.

But most importantly, the manual stated that at final mastery, the cultivator would distill their entire understanding into their own unique Three Words Mantra.

A chant that could influence reality within a certain radius around it's caster.

Kush Heavenly Realm~

The Seventh Courtyard~

...

The Three Words Mantra was non-discriminatory, unlike other cultivation manuals. It wasn't restricted to a specific genre of Innate Spirit or Mythical Attribute. Hence, in this world, it was classified as an Eccentric Skill.

Lu Xie had quickly realized that the cultivation methods here were clearly divided into four categories.

Spirit Skills, Mythical Arts, General Skills and Eccentric Arts.

Spirit Skills were designed to aid Innate Spirits.

Mythical Arts created to enhance the lethality of Mythical Attributes.

General Arts focused on aiding energy absorption, and circulation.

And finally, Eccentric Skills were mostly weird stuff that don't fall under the other three categories. These focused on strange or elusive concepts like training the psyche, soul, or physique. Some were even forbidden because they required... unspeakable practices.

Most forbidden arts and skill were classified as Eccentric Skills.

But the strangest thing about the Kush Heavenly Realm was that Cultivation Arts had no ranks. A skill wasn't "Low Grade" or "Heaven Grade." Its power relied entirely on the user's comprehension.

A genius could turn a breathing exercise into a hurricane. A fool could turn a God-Tier manual into a paperweight.

Lu Xie analyzing the Three Words Mantra discovered it focused on strengthening the psyche.

'If I master this,' she mused, 'I can influence reality within a certain radius using just my Will. I can make people feel fear, calmness, or obedience with just three words.'

However, there was a catch. It could only be practiced when facing mental pressure. Since she was currently sitting comfortably on her bed, she couldn't cultivate it yet.

"Fascinating. But useless for now."

She tossed it aside and picked up the questionable-looking Infinity Flow manual.

This was a General Art meant to control energy efficiently. It was the closest thing she could find that might help her understand her Mimicry attribute.

~The Next Morning~

Lu Xie had read the Infinity Flow manual over a thousand times. She hadn't gotten an ounce of sleep.

Result? Zero comprehension.

She would have believed that it was really scribbled by a madman having a seizure if her instincts didn't scream that the concept hidden within was profound.

"Nothing comes easy!" Lu Xie lamented, throwing the book at the wall.

The morning sun rays began slowly creeping across the floor, inching toward her face like an unwanted lover.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Her failed attempt at blocking the rays with her petite fingers was interrupted.

Without waiting for a reply, the ever-dutiful Trisha entered, lowering her head respectfully.

"Greetings, Young Miss." Trisha smiled warmly.

However, that smile froze instantly when it met Lu Xie's face.

Dark, gloomy circles hung beneath her eyes, not just from lack of sleep, but from spiritual exhaustion. Her hair was a bird's nest of messy ruffles, styled by sheer frustration. Loose strands fell over her eyes in droopy madness.

And when the morning sun finally hit her face, she looked like a corpse that had been dug up too early.

Lu Xie cemented the look with a smile that was clearly forced, transforming it into something deeply unsettling.

"Young Miss... you... Why... Didn't..." Trisha stammered, lost for words. Her mind refused to piece a polite sentence together.

"What is with the stare this early morning?" Lu Xie asked with a dead expression, the creepy smile still frozen on her face.

"You look like a Nightwalker," Trisha blurted out.

Her lips had betrayed her mind filter.

"Hah!"

Trisha gasped, covering her mouth in shame as she flushed red from sheer embarrassment. She had just insulted her mistress to her face.

HISSSS!

Lu Xie suddenly hissed like a vampire as the scorching ray of the sun fully hit her eyes.

"Ahhhhrgggg!"

She threw her head back, letting out a monstrous noise that many would have a hard time identifying as human. It sounded like a dying cat crossed with a demon.

Trisha took a step back, terrified. But she quickly regained her composure, pulling out a small scroll.

"Young Miss... your schedule today..."

Trisha began listing out activities rapidly, trying to ignore the monster on the bed.

" Morning Bath. Meeting with Demoness Menlela. Meditation. Martial defense Class. Weapon practice..."

The list went on and on.

However, after listening to a solid minute of this nonsense, Lu Xie raised her hand in a silencing motion.

"Hold it right there!" she demanded, her voice raspy.

Trisha paused. "Young Miss?"

"I never planned these with you," Lu Xie stated flatly, wiping the sleep crust from her eyes. "Who approved this? I am a Cultivator, not a debutante!"
