"Be safe." Ebenezer smiled at Alexander who was watching the cheesy display of affection with an unfathomable facial expression.
Alexander gave the vampire a small nod before he walked into the circle and sat opposite Silas.
"If....I die, promise that you will tell my fiancé I love him." Alexander requested as he reached out and placed his hand in Silas' outstretched one.
"I will." Silas promised as he lowered his eyes, looking at the spell that he was about to recite.

Ebenezer noticed that the slightly visible ring that Silas had drawn was illuminated by a strange blue light once the wizard started reading from the grimoire and he didn't feel at ease knowing that he had been left standing outside.
The ten minutes it took to break the curse felt like an eternity for Ebenezer who was pacing back and forth, hoping that both wizards were alright.
