(3rd Pov)
"That was so awesome Oliver," Ash said as he had stars in his eyes, and the Pikachu on his shoulder also had stars in its eyes. "It's nothing for a great trainer like me," Oliver said proudly, but in a joking manner
Looking at the pokeball that housed the Pidgey he had beaten, "Come out, Pidgey," Oliver said as he released the injured Pidgey that was still knocked out. Looking at the knocked-out Pidgey, a stat screen popped up.

'That's the best Pidgey I've seen while walking around the forest, and it has two egg moves; there's no way I'm gonna let it get away from me,' Oliver thought as he rummaged through his bag until he found a Potion.
"What's that?" Ash asked Oliver. Oliver looked at Ash deadpanned, "Really, man, did you pay any attention in Class? This is a Potion you use it to heal injured Pokémon," Oliver explained as he sprayed the injured Pidgey with the potion.
After a few seconds, Pidgey began regaining consciousness. As she began looking around, she saw Oliver sitting on the ground right next to her. This made her jump back away from him.
"Hey little buddy, my name's Oliver, sorry for beating you up like that earlier, but I caught you. So hopefully you'll join my team," Oliver said to the Pidgey, trying to calm it down, which it visibly did.
Bulbasaur looked at the Pidgey and used one of its paws to rub the back of the head as if it was saying sorry for using so much force in that attack.
"So what do yah say, will you follow along with me and Bulbasaur?" Oliver said as he put out his arm for the Pidgey to fly onto. The Pidgey looked back and forth between Oliver and Bulbasaur before it nodded its head and Flew onto Oliver's arm.
"Here, this will help with your injuries," Oliver said as he handed the pidgey an Oran berry from his backpack. The pidgey took it happily as it gulped it down immediately.
'Even though I already caught the Pidgey, I need to make sure I'm friends with it so it can blend well with my other future Pokémon' Oliver thought as he also gave Bulbasaur and Pikachu an Oran Berry.
"What are those berry's Oliver" Ash asked as he looked at his pikachu who was eating the berry, "That's an Oran berry it's one of the few berries that are edible for humans, they are used to heal pokemon in small increments, there an ingredient in potions." oliver explained as Ash nodded his head in understanding.
"Both of you return," Oliver said as he returned both Pidgey and Bulbasaur to their pokeballs. "We should go and find a clearing or at least a river where we can set up camp before it gets too late", Oliver said as he stood up from where he was sitting
Ash nodded at what Oliver said as he also went to return Pikachu to his pokeball, which didn't go so well, Pikachu jumped out of the way of the beam.
"Pikachu, why won't you go into the pokeball?" Ash asked as Pikachu gave him a "Pika" in response, causing Ash to look dejected. "Ash, maybe he just doesn't like being in his pokeball," Oliver replied to Ash as Pikachu nodded at what he said.
"So you don't like being in your pokeball huh, Pikachu, well, I guess you can stay out then," Ash said as Pikachu hopped on Ash's shoulder. "Ok, now that you're done with that, let's continue walking," Oliver said as he began walking off in the direction they were originally going.
(Time Skip)
"Finally, we've found a river that took so long", Ash said as he complained when they found a small clearing where a river was. The clearing had Pokémon running around, and some were drinking from the river.
"Shush it Ash!, it's only been like an hour of searching," Oliver said as he walked out of the forest and into the clearing, taking a look at all the Pokémon.
"So many Pokémon," Ash said as Oliver nodded his head. "So many, some aren't even from Kanto," Oliver said as he saw a few Hoothoots, Sentret, and a few more Pokémon that weren't from Kanto.
"Well, let's get closer to the lake and set up our tents, you did bring one, right?" Oliver said as he looked at Ash, who rubbed the back of his head, knowing what Ash was gonna say. Oliver pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Fine, you can stay in my tent tonight, but you need to get a tent," Oliver said as he grabbed his Tent bag from his back and began setting it up. The Pokémon in the surrounding area either fled or got into a more defensive position.
Some Pokémon were curious and started walking up to both Ash and Oliver. Seeing this, Oliver smiled and released both Pidgey and Bulbasaur from their Poké Balls.
"Why don't you two go around and play with the other Pokémon?" Oliver says as he continues putting together the tent while Ash watches from the side.
"Pikachu, you go too, I'll help Oliver," Ash said as he walked over and began helping Oliver out. The three Pokémon started playing around with each other. While the trainers began setting up their tent.

He caught a second Pokémon, and he'll catch some more next chapter.
I decided that Pokémon that are not originally from Kanto can appear in Kanto because in this story, the regions are quite well connected. It will be explained better later on in the story.
Also, the stats that are being shown from the pokedex scan, I use a website called Psypokes, which allows me to calculate the stats for the pokemon at their level, but I do increase them depending on the Iv's or state of the pokemon, Ie. Bulbasaur is an Alpha Pokémon.

I will be going away for the upcoming weekend, so I'm trying to write as many chapters as possible before I leave. THis means their may not be as many chapters next week.
I'm releasing a chapter every 2 days, So expect this chapter to release on the 30th, it will be like this for the remainder of me writting this story. But next week I might release a chapter every three days.
