(3rd pov)
In the clearing where there used to be a tent set up, you can see the Duo of Ash and Oliver, the two of them were sitting on a fallen tree log eating sandwiches.
There were running around playing, Horsea and Magikarp were swimming around in the river with other water-type Pokémon, while Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Pidgey were running and flying around.
"Welp, I'm ready to head out. What about you, Ash?" Oliver asked Ash, who was sitting and eating. He nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm ready to go, let's go, Pikachu," Ash said as he waved at Pikachu, and Pikachu climbed up his arms and onto his shoulder.
"Great, let's head out now," Oliver said as he returned his three Pokémon to their Poké Balls. Oliver began walking away towards the path in the direction they had come from.
"So, Oliver, where are we going?" Ash asked, intrigued, as he followed behind Oliver with Pikachu on his shoulder. Looking back at Ash, Oliver smiled, "We're making our way back to the path, so then we can take the road to Viridian City." Oliver responded as he smacked a tree branch out of the way.
"That makes sense," Ash said as he nodded his head. Following behind Oliver as they walked, Ash was petting Pikachu on its head.
(Time Skip)
"Ugh, are we almost there?" Ash complained as he followed behind Oliver. "Yes, Ash was almost there," Oliver responded as he looked at a screen that popped up in front of his face.

'A mega stone shard,' Oliver thought as he looked at the screen. "This walk is so Boring Oliver," Ash complained as Oliver sighed. "Maybe you wouldn't be as bored if you caught a few Pokémon," Oliver said as he looked back at Ash.
The past few hours they have been walking they ran into a few pokemon throughout their walk, they ran into a few pokemon while on their walk, Oliver caught as many as he saw.
Oliver ended up catching 8 Pokémon; these were: Weedle, Oddish, Ratatta, Caterpie, Bellsprout, Pikachu, Magikarp, and Spearow. They didn't have too good stats, but he needed to catch them for the Pokedex.
"How many did you catch anyway?" Ash asked Oliver, who raised both hands towards Ash, with 8 fingers up. "I caught 8 Pokémon, I now have 11 Pokémon," Oliver answered as he continued walking.
Shortly after this, they started seeing a city off in the distance, "Hey, it's Viridian City," Ash said as he ran off in the direction of the city. Seeing this, Oliver smiles, "Haha, there he goes all excited again," Oliver says as he continues walking.
"I wonder who is the gym leader of the Viridian gym, in the games and Anime it was Giovanni, but who knows if Blue and Red are canon in this universe", Oliver said as he continued walking until suddenly something jumped out of the bushes.
Oliver looked over to the bushes, and he saw a man holding a bug catcher's net. "Hyuh Hyuh, I challenge you to a Pokémon battle," The man with the bug-catching net said as Oliver looked at him with his head tilted.
"Bro, who are you?" Oliver asked in confusion as he put his hands down to his belt, where his pokeballs were. The man, hearing what Oliver said, looked a little embarrassed for a second.
"Oh, whoops, my name's Geo, and I challenge you to a Pokémon battle. I want to prove my bugs might." The now named Geo said as he held up a pokeball.
"How many Pokémon?" Oliver asked as he took Horsea's pokeball off of his hip, the man held up 3 fingers as he smiled. "Three Pokémon," Geo said as he nodded towards Oliver, who nodded back.
"Go Horsea/Metapod," The two of them said at the same time as their Pokémon came out of their pokeballs. "A Horsea, huh? That's nothing for my Metapod. Metapod use Harden," Geo commanded as a shine came off of Metapod.
"Horsea, use Smoke Screen, then use Twister," Oliver commanded Horsea, who nodded his head. Horsea began spitting out grey smoke clouds, which clouded the vision of both Geo and Metapod.
Horsea then began to spin as it launched a twister towards the Metapod, and it went through the smoke without dissipating the smoke screen. All Oliver heard was "Noooo Metapod", and then a crash came from the other side.
After a few minutes, the Smoke screen dissipated as Oliver could now see Geo holding his Metapod while crying; it wasn't injured too badly; it was only knocked out.
"Are you gonna send out your second Pokémon or are you forfeiting this battle?" Oliver asked as he looked at Geo, who was rubbing away the tears on his face.
"H-huh, as if I'm gonna forfeit, Return Metapod, Go Kakuna," Geo yelled out as he returned his knocked-out Metapod and sent out a Kakuna.
"Are you gonna continue with Horsea or will you switch out?" Geo asked Oliver, who looked at Horsea, who nodded its head, "I'll continue with Horsea," Oliver exclaimed with a smile.
"Horsea Use Snipe Shot before Kakuna can use Harden," Oliver said, almost sensing the incoming move Kakuna was gonna use. Horsea charged up a water shaped like a bullet, before shooting it at Kakuna.
"Huh, how'd you know I was gonna use Harden. But no matter if Kakuna uses Harden, Geo commanded as before Kakuna can use Harden, he was shot by the Water bullet.
"Nooo Kakuna." A familiar yell came from Geo as he held his knocked-out Kakuna. "Are you done yet? I'm ready to continue the battle," Oliver asked as he looked at Geo, who was crying.
"I-i'm ready, return Kakuna, Go Butterdrill," Geo said as he threw out a Butterfree that had yellow stripes painted on it. It also had a fake Beedrill stinger on its bottom.
"Bro, what even is that?" Oliver said, astonished by the audacity of the man in front of him. "Intimidated, huh? This is my greatest and strongest Pokémon, Butterdrill," Geo said confidently as he smiled
"Whatever, Horsea, are you able to continue battling?" Oliver asked Horsea, who was visibly tired from the Snipe shot it used earlier, and Horsea nodded its little head as Oliver nodded his head.
"It's good that you're feeling good enough, but I don't want you to fall unconscious from overusing your attack, Return," Oliver said with care as he returned Horsea to its pokeball.
"Go, Bulbasaur, it's your time to shine," Oliver said as he threw out the pokeball holding Bulbasaur, "ho-ho, you're ready to battle, if so, Butterdrill use poison powder," Geo commanded as the Butterfree blew some poison powder all over Bulbasaur, who shook it away.
"Bulbasaur is a poison type, your poison type moves aren't that effective, Bulbasaur Use Vine Whip and grabs that Butterfree and slams it into the ground," Oliver commanded as Bulbasaur released to vines that wrapped around the Butterfree, and then it slammed it into the ground.
The Butterfree's fake stingers fell off as it got up, barely standing after being slammed into the ground. "Freee," the Butterfree said as it started flying after the vines let go of it.
"Good Job staying up, ButterDrill. Now use gust" Geo commanded as Butterfree launched a gust of wind towards Bulbasaur, but due to the physique of Bulbasaur, it only felt as if it was a light breeze, but it slowly started ramping up in pressure as Butterfree flapped its wings faster.
"Bulbasaur ignore the wind and use Malignant Chain," Oliver commanded as a purple chain came out of the bulb on Bulbasaur's back as it wrapped around Butterfree's body, inflicting a deep poison onto the Butterfree.
"Finish it, Bulbasaur release the Malignant Chain and Use Power Whip," Oliver commanded as the Purple chain surrounding the Butterfree as A large thorny-like whip emitted from Bulbasaur and then slammed it into Butterfree as it fell from the sky, slamming into the ground, visibly fainting as it fell.
"Good Work, Bulbasaur, you did a good job, Return," Oliver said as he petted the top of Bulbasaur's head before returning him to the pokeball.
"Nooooooooo, ButterDrill," Geo yelled as he ran over to his Pokémon, which fell from the sky. "Hey, man, I'd take your Pokémon to the pokecenter, "Oliver suggested as Geo looked at him.
"Don't tell me what to do, I know what's best for my Pokémon," Geo said as he returned his Butterfree to his Poké Ball before running off towards Viridian City, but not before leaving behind 1000 Pokedollars for Oliver.
"Man, what the hell is this old dude doing?" Oliver said as he picked up the money on the ground and placed it in his pocket, before he began walking calmly towards town.
