After breaking free from the Blizzard attack, Ash regained his balance and continued riding on Charizard's back, steadily approaching the three legendary birds.
"Sky Attack!" Giovanni commanded when he saw this.
Giovanni wouldn't let Ash succeed so easily. As Charizard brought Ash closer, he simultaneously signaled the three legendary birds to launch their assault.
Under the controller's influence, the three legendary birds instantly spread their wings wide, and tremendous energy began to emerge. Light blue energy gathered around their bodies as they headed directly toward Ash and Charizard.

Thrown by the sudden motion, Jigglypuff's body fell uncontrollably from the high altitude, crying out in distress.
"Puff! Jiggly!"
"Pika pika!"
Pikachu was shocked when he witnessed this scene. Without hesitation, he leaped from Ash's shoulder, diving through the air to catch the falling Jigglypuff in his arms. But now both Pokémon were plummeting helplessly.
"Pikachu! Jigglypuff!"
Ash's heart sank when he saw what had happened. Faced with this dire situation, he had no choice but to temporarily abandon his mission against the three legendary birds and directed Charizard to pursue his falling Pokémon.

All the cities across the Kanto region could see this scene through their television screens. Misty and the others, who were engaged in fierce battles with Team Rocket members in the distance, also noticed this perilous situation.
"Ash!" Everyone watching held their breath, their hearts pounding with worry for the young trainer.
When Ash heard Lance's warning, he instinctively turned his head. The moment he looked back, he saw the three legendary birds with their eyes glowing red, rushing directly toward them.

Before he could react, the Sky Attack's devastating power struck them head-on. Charizard was hit and roared in pain from the impact.
"Aaagh!" Ash let out a cry as the explosive force sent him flying from Charizard's back, his body falling uncontrollably through the air.
Charizard's body also lost its balance from the massive impact. Unable to control his flight, both Charizard and Ash plummeted from the sky.
"ASH!"
This moment gripped the hearts of countless people. Whether they were watching on television or present at the scene in Celadon City, everyone who knew Ash unconsciously called out his name in panic.
"Dragonite, hurry!" Lance immediately shouted upon seeing this, directing his Dragonite to attempt a rescue.
After hearing the command, Dragonite immediately rushed toward where Ash and Charizard were falling.
But at that moment, three beams of energy struck simultaneously. Dragonite had no choice but to dodge at high speed as the three legendary birds launched attacks to prevent any rescue attempt.
"Pika pika!"
Pikachu and Jigglypuff, who were still falling on the other side, showed expressions of panic when they witnessed Ash's predicament. Jigglypuff was held securely by Pikachu, positioned safely beneath him.
While they worried about Ash's situation, they were also in grave danger themselves. In desperation, Jigglypuff quickly puffed out its cheeks, and its body suddenly expanded rapidly like a balloon.
Their falling speed decreased dramatically, and they finally reached the ground. Jigglypuff's body bounced several times like a rubber ball, which cushioned Pikachu's landing perfectly.

At that moment, Ash and Charizard fell from the sky and crashed directly into the river running through the city, creating an enormous splash of water.

Pikachu reached the riverbank and stared at the scene, crying out worriedly. But he received no response, seeing only the ripples in the water caused by the recent impact.

"Is that all there is?" Giovanni muttered from the helicopter, staring at the scene before him.
"Why should I feel disappointed? Why am I so restless? He's just some kid. What exactly was I expecting from him?"
Giovanni looked at the turbulent river below with an expressionless face, his heart filled with unexpected anxiety.
Logically, he should have been pleased to eliminate a troublesome opponent, yet he felt profoundly disappointed instead. Giovanni couldn't understand where this disappointment originated, and he almost seemed afraid that this boy had truly failed.
"If this is all he amounts to, then let me end everything with my own hands!" Giovanni decided with a determined look in his eyes.
The three legendary birds seemed to sense something and flew toward the river, beginning to gather their most powerful attack. A devastating Tri Attack began forming in their mouths.
As if sensing the impending danger, Pikachu stood holding Ash's cap with his head bowed, his small paws clenched tightly. Hidden beneath the cap's shadow, two tears rolled down his cheeks.
The droplets landed directly on the electrical pouches in Pikachu's cheeks.
Suddenly, Pikachu let out a cry that seemed to fill the entire world, whether witnessed in person or through television broadcasts.
"PIKAAAAAACHUUUUU!"
Everyone who heard Pikachu's heartbroken cry felt their hearts break along with it.
