The more Danzo thought about it, the more Indra's chakra influenced him.
"You're better than him."
"You deserve more."
"You're superior."
The whispers got louder.
Danzo stopped for a second and turned to look back.
Arata was smiling. Smiling at Hiruzen, smiling at the others like nothing happened.
That smile…
That smile made Danzo's blood boil.
"How can he smile after humiliating me like that?"
Indra's chakra pushed harder, fueling his anger. Danzo clenched his teeth, almost grinding them.
"Go ahead. Keep laughing. One day, I'll be the one laughing. Let's see who gets the last laugh."
He stormed off, burning with anger and jealousy, thinking only of revenge.
Meanwhile, Hiruzen stood there quietly, watching him go.
He wasn't surprised.
He had seen signs of jealousy in Danzo before. Yeah, Danzo had always compared himself to him. But today, something felt different.
When Danzo looked at Arata—Hiruzen's big brother, his idol—there was nothing but hate in his eyes.
And that… that crossed a line.
"It's better to cut him off now," Hiruzen thought. "Someone who disrespects my niisan… that's worse than trash."
To Hiruzen, Arata wasn't just family. He was someone to look up to. A true shinobi. And anyone who looked at him like Danzo did?
Not worth being called a friend.
"What happened here?" a Chūnin asked, walking over. He was a young shinobi, probably around 18, wearing a flak jacket and looking confused. There were a bunch of kids gathered around—some from small clans, some from big ones—but they were all still kids.
"Nothing serious," Arata replied with a lazy stretch. "Just warming up and talking to others."
The Chūnin suddenly blinked, realizing who Arata was. "Ah! Lord Arata, you're here!" He quickly bowed.
He was from the Senju clan too—just younger and clearly respectful. But Arata stopped him with a small wave of his hand.
"No need to bow. It's all good here. Let's go," Arata said casually. Then he looked toward Hiruzen and the others.
"Everyone, head to the front field!" the Chūnin called out to the students. "Lord Hokage and the Shadow Hokage will be giving the opening speech soon."
Arata followed along, hands in his pockets, as the crowd moved toward the training ground hall. He was curious—what kind of speech were his father, Hashirama, and his uncle Madara going to give?
Will it be about the Will of Fire? Or maybe something like Military of Konoha ! Arata wondered, remembering all the long speeches he had seen in the anime back in his past life.
He didn't have to wait long.
As the two legends took the stage—Hashirama and Madara—everyone quieted down.
Hashirama spoke first, his voice calm and warm. He talked about the Will of Fire, about how shinobi must protect their village like they protect their own family.
Then Madara stepped forward, his tone sharper. He spoke of strength—how fire isn't just warm, but dangerous. It can protect, but it can also burn enemies to ash.
Together, the two speeches balanced each other. Heart and power. Warmth and danger.
The students cheered.
The whole thing lasted about an hour. Afterward, everyone was assigned their classes and given their schedules.
And this time, Arata had done something different.
He had convinced his father, Uncle Tobirama, Uncle Madara, and Uncle Izuna to extend the Academy years from 4 to 6. Why? Because Arata believed that more time meant better training. More time to learn ninjutsu, taijutsu, tactics—all of it. That way, if war broke out (and it would, knowing this world), the next generation would be ready.
After that, everyone started heading home.
Arata did too.
He was tired—not because of physical work, but from boredom. In both his past life and this one, lectures drained him. Even back in college, while studying psychology, he skipped half his classes and used AI to summarize everything. That's how he ended up knowing more than the actual psychology teacher.
"Arata, you're back," a woman with long red hair said warmly as he stepped into the house.
It was Mito Uzumaki—his mom.
"Yes, Kaa-chan, I'm back," Arata replied, kicking off his sandals.
"What took you so long?" he asked.
"Oh, nothing," She shrugged. "I just got back from the Uzumaki compound in Konoha . I was meeting my grand-niece."
"Grand-niece?" Arata raised an eyebrow. "Kaa-chan, you're not that old."
BONK!
"OW—Why'd you hit me?!" Arata rubbed his head.
"Hmph. Calling me old, are you?" Mito's red hair lifted, waving behind her like tails.
"No, no! I meant it's just hard to believe, that's all!" Arata quickly explained.
"Hmm…" she crossed her arms, squinting at him. "Is that so?"
"Yes, Kaa-chan. I just meant —eople married early, right? So that's why you already have a grand-niece.I am Just Shocked"
"Her name is Harumi Uzumaki," Mito said with a smile. "She's older than you by about 7 or 8 years. So, she's around 22 now."
"She's getting married?"
"Yes. She's the daughter of my brother, Arashi Uzumaki. She had a bit more freedom because of her talent. She's good at… well, let's just say she's 'skilled at sealing jutsues.'" Mito smirked.
Arata nodded slowly. Sealing jutsu …? Wait, aaah FuinJutsu?
"Well, Kaa-chan, go safe. I'm gonna get some sleep."
"Sleep? It's barely midday," she said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well… today was the opening ceremony. And Father and Uncle Madara gave such long speeches. I got bored."
Mito sighed. She knew exactly how her son felt about long speeches.
"Fine. But don't sleep the whole day. Just take a short nap—two or three hours max."
"Yes, yes," Arata yawned and walked toward his room.
He laid out his futon on the tatami mat, sat down with a sigh, and then—
DING!
A voice echoed inside his head.
"Host, you have completed the task: You have enrolled in the Shinobi Academy."
"You may now ask any question. One question will be answered."
Finally, Arata thought. Finally, I can ask the question I've been waiting for.
He could ask anything now—like how to awaken the Sharingan... even the Mangekyō Sharingan. He could ask how to grow his chakra, how to defeat an Ōtsutsuki, or even learn their weaknesses. He could ask how to get strong enough to stand against people like Shibai Ōtsutsuki or how to use Shinjutsu. Heck, he could even ask how to beat the Kara organization!
