Soft winds brushed against the sleeping man, sounds of the ocean crashing into the rocks, animals brimming with life as they should. A young man opened his eyes as he sat up with a huge headache, he looked around.
A cottage style with some cabin in the woods vibes, in front of him lays a massive open window out to the an ocean, chairs set to oversee the ocean. The very room seemed to be a master bedroom, however there was no dresser nor tv. The bed he layed in was comfortable and big, he took the blanket off and got up.
He began to walk towards the door, opening it as he was greeted with a woman sitting on a couch holding a tablet, sipping away with whatever was in her cup.
"Uhhh..." The man blinks, "Hello..?" He hesitated as he held his neck, unsure of what to say.
"Oh? Good morning!" The woman greeted warmly as she stood up, heading over, "Welcome to the Wonderstar Association, a grand place within the cosmos."
"Wonderstar... Association?" He tilted his head.
"Mhm, long story short, the Wonderstar Association is a hub for souls who met with the requirements to become a host. The soul is then bounded with a System and they head off to many worlds!" She explained happily. "I am Maii, a major nebulae within the executive class."
The man was dumbfounded before easily recovering, "Where exactly are we?"
"Serenity island on Mavis, due to you being a novice within the introductory class, your only allowed on this island until you reach the expert class." She smiles, "Your system will explain more about that only with a few other things."
Maii walked to a full lengthed mirror, having her hand out to it. The man walked over and was rightfully shocked. Black hair to his chest, red eyes with a golden hue and slit pupils, fair skinned, and a models body. Elven like ears and sharp black nails. Wearing an all white male clothing.
"Due to protocols of the Association, all hosts appearances are changed along with names. Your new name is Mathis Rainer, you may still look 19, however, you can still age overtime." Maii explained.
"Seriously? Holy shit, I look good! Although a bit on the feminine said but still." Mathis complimented himself.
"Anyways, you may notice you have zero recollection of how you died, that is just to help you adjust to being indeed dead. Along with it is your name. Everything else is intack." Maii once agained explained before walking towards a door and exiting.
Mathis immediately followed, closing it behind him, being greeted by trees of unknown origins. Maii walked up to a car and went to the driver side. He went to the passenger.
Maii drove off as Mathis looked outside, watching the new found environment. "Today is the 6th cycle, Nocturna 14th, Stellarius 0467, Starday. 07:23:54 am. The time is when you had just arrived, it is now 09:17:34 am, just 2hrs after."
Mathis looked over at rapid speed, "Huh?!"
"This is the calendar the association goes by, obviously once you reach your apartment, your system will explain further details. Through majority of the stuff is accessible according to rank." Maii laughed.
Mathis noticed tall gateways as he was surprised, below them was a small sea side city.
"Those gates are the section gateways. We'll be heading to the dark red gateway, which is called the resentment section." She smiled at his shock.
"Im just here to bring you to your respective section and place, everything else is on your system for deeper explanation." She added as she took a shorter way towards the gateways.
Mathis was gazing at the city their were going passed by. He had so many questions but is unable to ask as he was in disbelief. Everything happening feels just like a dream, one where you might wake up and forget everything.
As they reached the gateway, there was a unique design placed in it with the very logo of the Association and the section. The dark red portal glowed as they neared and went through.
Another massive city came to view as he gapped at the sight, the city had a mixture of steampunk and cyberpunk.
"Truthfully, most hosts start at a poor area and rise up. You on the other hand have an old system that hasn't been activated. 3rd cycle's system 0004, Inferno Hearts." Maii suddenly said as she drove to a very well off area.
"3rd cycle?" Mathis asked as he payed close attention to the complexity of the housing designs.
"Mhm, the 3rd cycle, Celestialis. Destroy and restore have been here since the 1st cycle, then Side entered during the 2nd cycle, Resentment on the 3rd." She explained as she pulled up to a neatly tidied steampunk apartment building.
She got out as Mathis followed after, "Just know, once you have completed the novice training worlds, you will gain a card that allows you to buy and gain transportation access."
She walked into the tall building, easily to a circle on the floor. Mathis just followed before a light glowed and they appeared on a floor. He looked around to see the floor number, [Floor 44].
"Uhhh...." He hesitated. Maii grabbed his arm as she walked to a door.
[Penthouse Suite, Room 0004]
"This is your home, penthouses are typically for the first 100 systems and hosts to use. This one is from the 3rd cycle, additionally, there are others on 41-43." She simply explained, she touched the door as it opened up with two beeps.
She held open the door as Mathis walked in, the front entrance seemed basic yet subtly luxurious hints. He took the shoes off and fully entered, Maii right behind him. He blinks as he stared in front of him.
A massive opened space with a living room near the entrance, dining room in the middle, and kitchen at the back. A floating staircase going to a second floor with a hallway near it, he went over and down the hallway. Both sides being 2 bedrooms with a bathroom and closet. He went back and up the stairs.
The second floor is a fully open master sized bedroom, the only closed area was the bathroom to the window and a wall for a closet. He was genuinely impressed as he went back down, he went towards the door at the kitchen. The back yard was also massive and long, though, only it was grassy.
"Dont worry much about it, you can get stuff over time. The apartment will become more luxurious as you rank up." Maii explained as Mathis came back in.
He then noticed the young teen next to her. The teen had similar features as him yet longer hair to the waist shaping to wings and golden eyes.
"This is system 0004, Inferno Hearts." Maii stated before turning around on her toes, "He'll be the one to explain to you more about what's happening." She added and walked out of the house.
Mathis blinks before pinching himself, "So everything is real.." he mumbled.
""Yeah, real enough for you to feel your body, but you are fully dead."" The young teen explained. ""Also, give me a name.""
"Raven."
""Just that?""
"Yes."
""Name has been set."" Raven mechanically acknowledged. ""Alright, just say 'menu'"".
"Menu." Mathis repeated as a screen appeared showing different areas. Main, System, Stats, Inventory and Store with a small home button in the corner. The screen was white with red lettering. He tried tapping but his hand went through.
""Speak or think, thats how you change screens.""

Mathis noticed a glow on the second floor, heading up, he saw a queen sized bed appear with a dresser and nightstands. He was surprised as an over head lighting resembling a chandelier appeared as well. Two large artificial plants in the corners, and a few other decorations to match a regal theme.
The plain white wall became a black and gold wallpaper and the floor was a rich black wood. The trimmings being black. In a overall sense, a dark regal bedroom aesthetic.

Mathis shakes his head before heading upstairs, going straight to the bathroom. Taking a quick shower, putting on his new clothes before hoping into bed.
"I may have been rich... but this baffles me." He muttered before falling asleep, heavily.
