"This is how the story ends."
In a quiet bar, the Watcher swirled the wine in his glass with a faint smile.
Reflected in the drink was the chaotic battle raging in Earth-1 of the Speed Force multiverse. Watching the towering figure that loomed like a living mountain, the Watcher sighed wistfully.
"All realities will be reduced to ash. Antimatter will erase every multiversal possibility—including the worlds you know. This power will travel along the corruption and connect to the Wastelands. And when that happens... no one will escape."
The Watcher looked up curiously, trying to gauge Alex's expression. He expected panic. Fear. Despair.
But what he saw disappointed him. Alex's face remained completely calm.
"You're not afraid?" the Watcher asked.
Alex answered evenly, "They haven't given up hope, Watcher."
"And I won't give up on them."
The Watcher studied Alex carefully. He didn't understand how this man could still carry such confidence when everything was collapsing.
"Your heroes have failed," he said coldly. "That mutant—Pietro—is now the host of the Black Rider, enslaved by the Anti-Monitor. The Kryptonian—Kara—is literally racing Death. She can't stop, not even for a second. And the rest?"
"You really believe the remnants of the Justice Society can stop this?"
Alex shook his head slowly. He raised his glass, took a sip, exhaled deeply, and said with quiet conviction: "You still don't understand, Watcher. This story was never ours to write. It belongs to them. They are the heroes. And heroes… always win."
The Watcher's brows furrowed. He stared at Alex's subtle, knowing smile.
Alex set the glass down, laced his fingers, and sighed softly.
"Keep watching. The heroes are on their way."

"Oh, holy , what the hell happened here?!"
Outside Gotham, Venom-Woman skidded to a stop, hauling Old Bruce Wayne behind her—and stood frozen by the apocalyptic scene before them.
Far ahead stood a colossal figure, massive as a mountain, radiating a corrupt aura that made Venom-Woman's symbiote recoil. The skies were thick with Shadow Demons, black as pitch, their numbers blotting out the sun.
"So this is the enemy Batman warned us about," Old Bruce muttered, frowning grimly.
"Where's Pietro?" Venom-Woman leapt atop a dead, withered tree, scanning the battlefield for any trace of the speedster—but the signature silver blur was nowhere to be seen.
"Ashley," Bruce rasped behind her, "I need you to take me to Arkham Asylum."
Venom-Woman turned to him, eyes wide. "Are you joking? My spider-sense is screaming louder with every step I take in this place. You'd die the moment you set foot in Gotham in your condition!"
"I still have to go," Bruce said, firmly but weakly.
"No. You stay here," Venom-Woman snapped. "I'm going after Pietro and Kara."
Bruce tried to stand, failed, then looked up at her pleadingly.
"Please, Ashley. I have to do this."
Venom-Woman clenched her fists, cursing under her breath, clearly torn. After a long pause, she groaned and stomped the ground.
"Fine. But hear me—this is your call. I'm not taking the blame if things go south. If anything unexpected happens, I'm out. No hesitation."
"Understood," Bruce said, nodding gravely.

Meanwhile, as the Anti-Monitor continued absorbing the unleashed Omega Effect, the sky suddenly split open in a blinding flash of gold.
A massive sigil materialized from nothing, glowing with righteous fury.
As soon as the Anti-Monitor sensed the surge of energy, a colossal beam of light smashed directly into his massive face.
The sharp crackle of shattering glass rang out as several silhouettes rapidly descended into the heart of the battlefield, emerging from the blinding brilliance.
At the center of the collapsing golden light, Doctor Fate hovered mid-air. Below him stood Doctor Mid-Nite, Hawkman, the Amazon Queen, and the Queen of Atlantis.
"You finally made it." Hourman, flanked by Nightcat and Green Lantern, ran over to join the group.
"What is this..." the Amazon Queen stared in horror at the scene before her.
They had all felt the overwhelming tide of energy earlier—but none of them had imagined that things had become this catastrophic.
Darkseid's body lay crumpled on the ground, his chest torn open by a massive gash. Crimson Omega energy leaked from the wound like thick mist, and a mountain of Parademon corpses was piled high around him.
Though they had long hoped for Darkseid's death, in this moment, all they felt was overwhelming pressure.
"My attacks have no effect on that thing..." Doctor Fate's voice was hoarse. "If he finishes absorbing Darkseid's Omega Effect, then all of this will be beyond saving!"
"Everyone, together!"
The Queen of Atlantis raised her trident, launching a high-pressure torrent of water at the towering behemoth.
The others followed suit, unleashing every weapon and skill at their disposal in unison against the Anti-Monitor's massive form.
For a moment, the sky exploded with multicolored energy blasts and bullets—all slamming into the enemy with precision.
But none of it worked.
The attacks didn't even scratch the Anti-Monitor's external armor. To him, the combined might of the Justice Society was little more than a breeze.
Hourman's eyes narrowed sharply, then he shouted out—
"Take cover! Counterattack incoming—!"
He didn't even finish the sentence before a colossal energy wave erupted outward. In an instant, a solar flare-like explosion ripped across the battlefield like a tidal wave.
Though the heroes reacted quickly, the scale was far too great. They couldn't all escape in time.
Doctor Fate's magic barrier shattered on contact. One by one, they were blasted away in every direction, flung like ragdolls by the overwhelming force.
The Anti-Monitor raised his hand again. A sphere of violet light formed in his palm, radiating an undeniable, god-like might that made the entire world tremble.
"You insects..."
The Anti-Monitor sneered down at Earth's defenders—none of whom could survive even one of his casual strikes. He was growing tired of this resistance.
The chaotic energy that had been swirling aimlessly now found its center. A destructive aura, steeped in annihilation, surged into form again.
This time, the Anti-Monitor was determined to end it.
"This... is the end."
His voice was a quiet thunder. The hand fell like a god's judgment.
Everyone stared at the falling energy with wide eyes. Their expressions were varied—but none of them showed fear.
And then—
Out of nowhere, a blue inferno laser shot in from the distance. In a split second, it expanded to a devastating size, splitting the ocean in two and roaring toward the Anti-Monitor like a tsunami of blue fire.
Caught off guard, the Anti-Monitor was blasted back a full step, the shockwave of his movement shaking the entire battlefield.
The ghostly-blue flames burned his armor relentlessly, etching cracks glowing with cyan light. It even disrupted his process of absorbing the Omega Effect.
Furious, the Anti-Monitor whirled around. With a crushing gesture, he seized the incoming flame in the air—shattering it with pure force.
His gaze snapped toward the origin of the blast.
There, rising slowly from the sea, was a gigantic figure, one whose size nearly matched the Anti-Monitor himself.
"Made it… just in time," Doctor Fate gasped for breath. As he looked up at the colossal figure charging across the battlefield, a wave of relief washed over him.
A deafening roar erupted from the ocean. Godzilla was storming toward the Gotham war zone, his thunderous steps shaking the earth. On his back, Kong beat his chest with a roar of defiance.
"Strange creatures…"
The Anti-Monitor had never felt this type of energy signature before, but he didn't take the two Titans seriously. He had transcended even the Multiverse—what threat could a couple of giant beasts pose?
He tanked a punch from Kong and casually retaliated, sending the ape flying with a single blow. As he turned, he noticed Godzilla's dorsal plates glowing with a storm of blue lightning. Instinctively, the Anti-Monitor launched a blast of anti-matter energy.
Purple collided with blue midair—Omega fire against atomic breath. The resulting explosion shook the heavens and burst outward in a spiraling shockwave.
Godzilla held on for less than five seconds before being overwhelmed, his massive frame slammed into the earth with a pained howl.
Just as the Anti-Monitor prepared to finish the two Titans off, he caught sight of Doctor Fate rapidly approaching the chaotic swirl of Omega Effect energy.
"My minions—slaughter these insects!!"
With a single command, a swarm of Shadow Demons formed into a dark torrent and screamed toward Doctor Fate and the scattered heroes on the ground.
The battlefield exploded once more in chaos. Thunderous blasts echoed across the ruined landscape as heroes and Parademon remnants clashed with the incoming shadows. Everyone was fighting desperately, eyes burning red with fury.
Dodging Kong's surprisingly agile attacks for his size, the Anti-Monitor finally got an opening. He grabbed one of Kong's arms—tightened his grip—and crack! The beast's arm was twisted and snapped like a twig.
But before he could finish the job, a tail whip slammed into him from the side.
"Enough!!"
A horrifying burst of energy detonated, clearing all matter around the Anti-Monitor in an instant.
Godzilla and Kong were hurled through the air like rag dolls, crashing into the ground and leaving behind craters as large as city blocks.
Neither Titan had the strength to rise again.
The Anti-Monitor let out a triumphant roar and extended his hand toward the Omega Effect to finally claim its full power.
But then he froze.
Just as his hand was about to grasp the Omega energy, the sky itself began to split open.
A massive rift tore through the heavens like a cosmic scar, rupturing space and giving birth to chaotic, violent winds that howled like a world-ending storm.
The Anti-Monitor's expression flickered—confused, intrigued. He had no idea what this disturbance meant… or where it came from.
And then, something unimaginable emerged.
From within the rift, a massive shadow slowly descended—blocking out the sky, shrouding the earth in awe and disbelief.
It was not just a ship—it was an entire flying fortress, vast enough to dwarf even the Anti-Monitor himself. Shaped like a metallic asteroid, it hovered above the atmosphere like a harbinger of salvation or destruction.
As its systems activated, the entire structure lit up in an instant. Machinery roared to life, and weapons across the fortress rotated and locked onto every living target across the battlefield.
Then, a blaring voice echoed across Gotham's burning remains—
"Your savior…"
"…has arrived!!!"
