"Do you think I'm here to discuss business?"
Ji Eun didn't move an inch. "I think you're here because you don't like losing."
Hyun Woo stopped at the edge of her desk. Close enough now that the air between them felt smaller.
"Tarnishing my image won't protect you," he said quietly.
Ji Eun's eyes flashed. "Protect me from what? Your ego?"
From somewhere deep in his chest, a low laugh escaped - brief, almost amused.
"Still pretending," he murmured.
Ji Eun's jaw tightened. "Pretending what?"
Hyun Woo reached forward, not to grab her, not to restrain her, just to slide the tablet further away from her hand, as if removing a weapon. Then he looked at her fully.
"Pretending you're not affected," he said.
Ji Eun's voice stayed sharp. "I'm not."
Hyun Woo's gaze dropped, briefly, to her lips. Then back to her eyes.
"Liar," he said softly.
Ji Eun's breath hitched in spite of herself - an infuriating betrayal.
Her eyes narrowed. "If you came here to provoke me..."
He moved.
So quickly the space between them vanished.
In a single, smooth motion, he rounded the desk, caught her wrist, and drew her forward - not hard, but firmly enough that her body registered his intent before her mind did.
Ji Eun sucked in a breath. "Hyun Woo..."
