"I feel it... but I don't remember," I murmured, burying my nose in the nook of his neck. His scent was painfully familiar—like home I'd forgotten.
"Kim... but tell me, who found you?" he asked, holding me tighter.
Flashback
After I fell into the sea, some fishermen spotted me floating and pulled me out. I was unconscious, barely alive. They rushed me to the hospital, where the doctors diagnosed me with amnesia.
"My son... I don't have any children, but I'm willing to take you in," Mr. Shen said. He was in his 50s, warm but distant. "I won't stop you from searching for your real family."
"Thank you," I whispered weakly, only able to remember two names—Kim and Taeyang.
"What's your full name?" he asked.
"Kim Taeyang," I blurted out.
His eyes lit up. "You remember your name!"
But before I could say anything else, I passed out again. I remained in a coma for seven months.
When I finally woke up, I was stronger—more determined. I wanted to find my family. That drive led me back to this very moment.
Flashback Ends
"Then I just felt this strange pull toward the park," I continued. "I was wandering, trying to clear my head... and then I saw you. I followed you, but then you clutched your chest and collapsed. I ran to you—and now here we are."
Taeyang cupped my cheek gently. "Come back to me, Kim."
"I'm here," I replied. "I want to remember everything... I want you."
He pulled out his phone. After a short call, he looked at me and said firmly, "Let's go."
I followed him without hesitation. The same driver from earlier—Hyung—was waiting for us.
"I'm not dreaming, am I?" Hyung asked as he opened the car door, still stunned.
"No, Hyung. It's real," Taeyang said with a rare, relieved smile.
We drove in silence, tension and anticipation hanging in the air like fog. When we arrived at the Woo mansion, I was the first to step inside. The atmosphere felt cold and still—like a graveyard.
"Mom!! Dad!!" Taeyang called out.
"Why are you yelling like that, you sho—" Jiang's voice caught in her throat the moment she saw me.
"Mom," I said quietly.
Jiang's POV
I was irritated, rushing downstairs with words on my tongue—but everything stopped when I saw him.
Kim.
My son.
I froze, my knees nearly giving out. He ran to me, and I threw my arms around him without hesitation.
"Mom," he whispered, clinging to me.
I kissed every part of his face I could reach, tears falling freely. "Honey! Come quickly!" I called out to my husband, voice trembling.
Old Woo came down, and the second he laid eyes on Kim, a wide, joyful smile spread across his face.
"Welcome back, son," he said.
Kim's POV
"Thanks... Dad," I said softly, smiling for the first time in what felt like forever.
