Two weeks after I took my mom...
I was planning to take her to the sea and soak her in it.
Yes.
I was so engrossed in my revenge.
---
At sea...
I untied Sulin.
"Mom," I said coldly, "remember when you dumped me here?"
She looked disheveled, her voice trembling. "I'm sorry."
"I just want to take my revenge," I whispered.
"Come here."
She obeyed—too easily. I watched her carefully. Something was off.
Was she planning to escape? Maybe. But where would she run to? There was no car. No one nearby. Escape would be useless.
But then—
BAM! BAM!
Gunshots. Two, straight into my chest.
I staggered back, clutching my side, breath knocked out of me.
BAM! BAM!
Another round—and Sulin collapsed. Limp. Blood pooling beneath her.
The recoil from the gun pushed me back.
Swoosh.
I fell into the sea.
Was it over?
Memories of Taeyang came flooding back. His smile. His voice. His warmth.
Sink. Sink. Sink.
I was sinking deeper into the cold, crushing sea.
I lost consciousness... but the past didn't let me go.

Flashback
She had tied me up and thrown me into the sea.
I couldn't swim. I was choking.
"Ugh—cough—pl...ease..." I begged.
After what felt like forever, she pulled me out—only to lash me with a soaked cloth.
"Aghhh!" I cried out, pain lashing through my soaked skin.
"Please... I'm sorry..."
"You're such a weakling. A chicken," she spat.
I wept. Broken. Helpless.
Then—I blacked out.
---
Flashback ends
I woke up once. My body was heavy. My eyes burned from the salt.
I couldn't breathe.
Darkness crept in again.
Was this it? Was I dying?
My mind was blank, but heavy. Like it held all the pain in the world.
I didn't try to fight the darkness anymore.
I let it embrace me.

Plot Summary
Kim, a soul reincarnated as the Woo family's third master after his death as Kim Tae, grapples with psychological trauma and a mysterious brain tumor. His deep, immediate connection with Taeyang provides a much-needed anchor, while his volatile temper often clashes with his step-brother, Hyung. The true antagonist emerges in his mother, Sulin, whose greed leads her to kidnap Taeyang, reigniting Kim's buried fears and fueling a dark transformation.
After Taeyang is rescued (with Hyung's reluctant help, revealing his own protective actions), Sulin's threats escalate, forcing Kim and Taeyang into hiding on a private island. However, Sulin manages to abduct Kim from the island, confirming her cruel motives and solidifying Kim's desire for revenge. After a three-year time skip, Kim returns, hardened and determined to systematically dismantle Sulin's life.
Kim's elaborate revenge culminates in a confrontation at sea, where Sulin, in a shocking twist, pulls a hidden gun and shoots Kim. The impact causes Kim to accidentally fire his own weapon, killing Sulin instantly. Kim, critically wounded, falls into the sea and is presumed dead by his grieving family, especially Taeyang, who plunges into a year of despair.
Miraculously, Kim survives, rescued by fishermen, but awakens with amnesia after a seven-month coma, remembering only "Kim Taeyang." Guided by an inexplicable pull, he finds his way back to Taeyang and his family. His journey of rediscovery involves instinctively reconnecting with Yoonah, leading to her forgiveness, despite his family's lingering resentment. Eventually, a sudden painful headache triggers the full return of Kim's memories, including his past lives. He joyfully reunites with Taeyang, reaffirming their profound love and commitment, ready to face the future together.
