"Mom!", She shouted dropping her bag on to go find her mom.
"Yes darling", her mom answered coming out from the kitchen with a spatula ,with the look of it she was making dinner .
"Mom", she called again and hugged her
"You wouldn't believe, the wildest thing just happened "
" What happened? tell me", her mom asked earger to know the big news that made her daughter all hyped up. this is the first time she behaved that way, since she turned 18 .
"Nothing happened but I found out something amazing" , she said bringing out the book to show her
" And what could that amazing thing be ?", her mom asked also getting hyped up in her daughter's energy
"This", she showed it to her mom
"What is this ?", The mom asked not quite understanding. 'The amazing thing she discovered was a book ' the mom thought, confusing knocking at her door .
Claire opened the book and showed her mom where Andrea the owner of the book wrote about her own hallucination problems . Claire was too busy focused on showing her mom the book that could help her get answers to her own problem that she didn't notice her mom had frozen on the spot
Claire's mom grabbed her hand a little forcefully, "where did you get the book?", she asked trying not to show the fear in her face. She gulped and looked at Claire
"Where did you get the book?", she asked again this time her voice raising a little, you could even hear the little strain in her voice if you listen closely, to show how much patience she is putting to not show her fear.
Claire frowned a little, 'why is she getting all worked up', she thought
"From our school library, what happened mom?", she asked when she notched her mom seemed a bit lost
"It's nothing, I was .... Just surprised that's all " , her mom answered masking her fears with some encouraging words .
Claire could tell her mom was lying and is hiding something from her . She decided not to think too much
"I will be going up to my room to freshen up" , she said taking the book back and went up with her bag.
After taking her bath, she came down for dinner. she had to eat alone cause her mom left that evening saying she had some matters to attend to. she had no idea whats this so important matter that made her mom not able to wait till tomorrow, she had to go that night .
She just ate her food quickly and went back up, lucky for her, immediately her head touched the pillow she drifted off to sleep .

Meanwhile, in an unknown room with a man sitting on a throne with bloodshot eyes and fingers covered in claws . On his left and right hand stood two scary look people or thing. A woman knelt in front of the man sitting on the throne as a sign of respect.
" What happened?", the man asked giving off a dangerous aura
The woman shivered a little in fear but still gathered up the courage to talk
" I.... I Found out something about the girl", she said trying so hard not to collapse in fear. The man didn't talk just look at her, the things by his side growled a little, she knew it was her cue to keep talking .
" The girls mother left her something, and in it carries a lot of our secrets which could make her powers known to her sooner than we expected", the woman finished looking down immediately In fear waiting for all hells to break loose .
"I gave you one job, one single job but you couldn't do it properly how incompetent can you get", the man's voice thundered the things by his side growling a little loudly now .the woman started trembling uncontrollable, she knows the consequences of not completing a task. Who knew that the woman was quite smart, to be able to hide such a thing .
" I.. I... I am sorry mi' lord", the woman apologised almost peeing on her pants
"That is one sentence I have the most and you know that right ?", the man asked looking menacingly at the woman . If not that the woman was still useful he would have eliminated her a long time ago .
He wasn't the type to be merciful but he still needed the woman's help to get the girl. When that happens he can dismiss this useless dimwit of a woman in front of him.
" Try and get the book, now leave ", he ordered and with a flash he was gone .
The woman fell down immediately parting her chest as though someone had almost strangled the life out of her. She stood and disappeared on her own.
