Although Bahamut possessed only moderate divine power, as a dragon god, his base strength far exceeded that of human deities. Moreover, he had been transformed into a god from a Dragon King, granting him power beyond typical gods. He even had the capability to contend with gods of great power.
In addition to his immense strength, Bahamut had one of the best reputations in the Pantheon. When he spoke, most gods listened closely, and even the major gods treated his words with respect.
"Lord Bahamut, could you explain why so many Epic Titans are awakening all at once?" one of the chaotic gods asked impatiently, sensing imminent danger.
"Seven days ago, I received a message from a young hybrid of my race. He discovered signs of an Evil God invasion in a mid-sized world," Bahamut began.
"Evil God invasion? What does that have to do with the awakening of the Epic Titans?" another god asked, puzzled.
"This young hybrid, you should all know him—he's the child of a Titan and a dragon!"
At the mention of Muria's name, the Pantheon fell silent. Though decades had passed, none of the long-lived gods had forgotten the War of Divine Fall, during which the drow pantheon had been decimated. The Storm Lord's pantheon had also collapsed, and Talos, the Storm Lord himself, had become a solitary god.
"It was he who reported the Evil God's invasion to me, but I suspect he also sought help from the Titan race before informing me. There's no doubt that the mass awakening of Epic Titans is related to this."
"Just for a few Evil God minions? Does it really take so many Titans to deal with them? That seems excessive!" a god scoffed.
"Foolish! Do you think the Titans are content with merely cleaning up some minions? Of course not! They'll follow the trail left by these minions back to the Evil God who dared extend their power into our world cluster."
"So, these Titans are clashing with an interdimensional Evil God? They're at war with it?"
"Most likely."
"Judging by the number of Titans involved, the Evil God's forces must be substantial."
"The Titans… really…" Some gods shook their heads, astonished at the reason for the Titans' awakening.
"Wait, are you saying the Titans woke up en masse because of this hybrid Titan kid?"
"Is that boy some sort of calamity god? Everywhere he goes, disaster follows!"
"This time it's not his fault," Bahamut defended Muria, as Muria was technically his descendant and child.
…
Meanwhile, as the Epic Titans awakened in large numbers, pinpointing the coordinates sent by the Ancient Prison Lord, they opened void gates and crossed vast distances to join the battle. The massive movements of Epic Titans and the immense upheaval of their awakening had startled another powerful entity that had only recently gone into hibernation within a dark space.
As this being opened its eyes, light flooded the dark space. Countless undead creatures bowed to the two brilliant suns that appeared in the sky, worshipping them. However, these suns were nothing compared to the ones that had recently illuminated the entire world of Erathia.
"I can sense it… my father's preparing for battle. I can feel the Titan war-blood boiling."
Sensing the distant blood auras of the newly awakened Titans, this being, who had slept for tens of thousands of years, began to stir. His nearly dormant blood began to flow, rumbling like a river bursting its banks. A golden wave of blood energy surged into the sky, distorting space. Strangely, at the heart of this sea of blood was a pitch-black darkness, carrying with it the heavy aura of death.
…
In the void battlefield, shortly after the Ancient Prison Lord sent out his call for help, a massive void gate opened beside him. The Lord of Ten Elements, staff in hand, stepped through, giving the Ancient Prison Lord a glance before swinging his staff, pulling away two of the Evil Gods attacking him. The pressure on the Ancient Prison Lord eased by two-thirds.
"Just one would've been enough. Why take both? Give one back!" the Ancient Prison Lord grumbled.
"Go find your own. These two are mine now," the Lord of Ten Elements replied, showing no intention of returning the Evil Gods. He released his ten epic creatures, commanding them to attack the two powerful Evil Gods, while an image of a world appeared behind him. It solidified, and an endless army of minions poured forth to join the battle.
"Brutal!" Muria, still trapped and immobilized by the Azure Tide Dragon King, smacked his lips in awe as he watched the epic-scale battle unfold. After the Lord of Ten Elements arrived, more Epic Titans appeared, unleashing their armies to push back the black tide of Evil God minions.
Even though Muria's strength was still galaxies away from the Epic level, it didn't stop him from understanding the overwhelming scale of the battle. It was easy to see who held the advantage and who was at a disadvantage.
The twisted beings on the Evil God's side were getting blown apart almost constantly after the Titans arrived. Every few moments, one of them was destroyed. However, these Evil Gods displayed an astonishing regenerative ability, restoring their bodies in a matter of moments. Their vitality was beyond comprehension.
Even so, the balance of the battle was slowly but steadily tipping, as more and more Evil Gods of various strengths continued to pour into the battlefield, bringing their own armies with them. The Titans found themselves under increasing pressure, each of them facing multiple Evil Gods. In fact, some Titans were showing signs of being overwhelmed due to the sheer number of opponents.
"It's so unfair, ganging up like this! Why don't they fight one-on-one?" Muria cursed, frustrated by the sight of Titans being outnumbered.
"Are there more Epic Titans coming to help? This doesn't seem like enough," Muria asked aloud.
"Unfortunately, many of the Titans aren't in Erathia. Only those who focus on creation and law remain here in slumber. The other Titans, the ones who are weaker but more numerous, are all traveling through the void," responded the Azure Tide Dragon King, indicating he knew more than most.
"But it seems like you aren't as strong as the Titans I've seen."
"Of course! I'm only at the second stage of Epic power, *World Simulation*. Those Titans you've seen are all at the third stage, *World Creation*."
"Then why are you still sleeping in this world?"
"I got tired after traveling the void. I came back to rest. Is that a problem?" the Azure Tide Dragon King snapped, clearly annoyed.
"Alright, alright," Muria quickly backed down, seeing the dragon's menacing glare. He then asked, "Can't the Titans who are traveling the void be called back?"
"They're too far away. Sometimes, even the highest-level secret techniques are useless."
At that moment, just as the battle between the Titans and the Evil Gods was reaching a stalemate, a sudden void portal opened, and a jet-black spear shot out, piercing through one of the grotesque Evil Gods. The twisted creature's flesh shriveled at an alarming rate, its life force devoured by the spear.
Such a powerful strike drew the attention of several nearby Epic Titans, as well as many Evil Gods. They all turned toward the portal. From within, a black and gold path extended, and a towering Titan, over ten thousand meters tall, strode forth.
Behind this Titan appeared a world projection, which quickly solidified. His army poured out just like the others, but there was a stark difference. Unlike the other Titans, his minions were all powerful undead creatures. This unusual sight caught Muria's attention.
Muria quickly realized that something was off about this Titan. And soon, he understood why.
Although this Titan initially radiated the same blood aura as the other Epic Titans, it only lasted a moment before a torrent of death energy surged forth, corrupting the golden blood aura and turning it pitch black. At that moment, the Titan's appearance changed completely.
All of his flesh vanished, leaving behind only his enormous, majestic skeleton. A cold, deathly fire enveloped his body, sucking the life out of everything around him. Any of the Evil God minions that came near him were instantly reduced to dried husks.
"How did that monster end up here? And why is it helping you Titans? It seems that its body is influencing its mind," the Azure Tide Dragon King remarked.
"Dragon King, do you know what's going on with that Titan? Something feels off. He doesn't seem like the other Epic Titans."
"You're right to feel that way. He's not an Epic Titan."
"But his body—"
"Looks like a Titan's, right? But he's not a Titan. Do you know who he really is?"
"Who is he?" Muria's curiosity was piqued.
"He's the founder of the Council of the Undead, the true Necromancer King of Erathia! Every god of death wants him dead."
"That… how is he in this Titan-like form? He doesn't feel as strong as the other Titans, but I still feel a sense of kinship with him," Muria muttered, astonished by the revelation.
