"I feel like we've come at a bad time." As the Ancient Prison Lord was mercilessly thrashing the self-proclaimed Evil Lord, the three dragon kings arrived in this strange world cluster with Muria's family.
They then witnessed the Evil Lord getting beaten into submission, only to see the god start summoning reinforcements.
With the Evil Lord's deranged cries, one terrifying presence after another began appearing all around the battlefield, rushing towards them at high speed. From the grip of the Azure Tide Dragon King, Muria could see strange and grotesque minions of the Evil Gods in every direction. Each of these creatures radiated an aura that disgusted him, and he instinctively felt repelled by their power.
"One, two, three... twelve, thirteen," the Starlight Dragon King counted the number of Evil Gods approaching. The more he counted, the worse his expression became. "Is this the lair of the Evil Gods? Why are there so many?"
"It just might be," replied the Azure Tide Dragon King, his gaze landing on the strongest and fastest-approaching of the Evil Gods—a mass of black flesh covered in countless gaping mouths, grotesque and revolting to behold.
"This could be a species like the Titans, where Epic-level beings are easily born among them. It's possible that this world cluster is their domain, and this Titan barging in is like intruding into their territory."
"So what do we do now?"
"What else? Fight!" The Azure Tide Dragon King's body was surrounded by hundreds of massive water streams, which he had condensed by draining the oceans of lifeless worlds. Within these streams resided his army of minions.
"Wouldn't retreat be better?" rumbled the Mountain Dragon King. "We have no chance of winning, even with the Titan. There are beings here as strong as him, and more than one."
"Do you think we can just leave? With so many Evil Gods here, do you really think they'll let us go? We don't have the Titan's ability to tear open a portal and leave."
"Then let's find him and retreat together!"
"I don't think he plans on leaving."
"If we can't escape, then we need to call for reinforcements. We can't hold off so many Evil Gods by ourselves."
…
Soon, the three dragon kings found themselves fending off attacks from twice their number of Evil Gods, paying the price with their carefully nurtured armies, which were being decimated at an alarming rate.
To their dismay, even more Evil Gods were appearing in the distant void, and the situation quickly became overwhelming.
"Kid, what's the name of that ancestor of yours?" the Azure Tide Dragon King asked, lifting the trapped Muria in his claw.
"Ancient Prison Lord!" Muria, struggling to free himself, couldn't move the dragon's legendary-strength claw in the slightest.
"What are you trying to do?"
"Help! My father's already fighting!" Muria anxiously replied. He could see the situation worsening, and just moments ago, his father had jumped off the Mountain Dragon King to engage in battle, transforming into his true Titan form to fight alongside the dragons' minions against the Evil Gods.
"Just stay put. We don't need a little Legend like you. What we need is another Epic." Ignoring Muria's struggles, the Azure Tide Dragon King sealed him inside a transparent water sphere, immobilizing him.
The dragon then looked up at the Ancient Prison Lord, who was currently fighting three equally powerful Evil Gods.
"Hey, Lord Ancient Prison! Could you tone it down a bit? There are too many powerful Evil Gods here for us to handle. Even if you don't want to retreat, at least call in some Titan reinforcements!"
"Hmph!" The Ancient Prison Lord snorted in response mid-battle. "I've already called for reinforcements. I'm not some prideful fool who won't ask for help."
Those dumb lizards really thought he was the type to care about appearances above all else? Did they think he didn't want to leave? The truth was, he simply couldn't.
The greatest pressure came from the Evil God known as the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young. If he didn't focus on fighting it, he risked being severely wounded and forced into hibernation for millennia.
Titans were indeed naturally warlike, but they weren't reckless. Asking for help when needed was not something he'd avoid, especially when on the brink of achieving eternity.
…
"You all got the message, right? That Ancient Prison guy is inviting us to join the battle!"
"Ha, what a face-saving move! He's clearly asking for help but phrased it like he's inviting us to enjoy the fight."
"Haha, Ancient Prison can't handle that far-reaching Evil God, huh? Who's planning to help him? I'm definitely going."
"Wait, more news! It's not just one Evil God. Ancient Prison has barged into a whole nest of them, and they've surrounded him. This is getting serious. Anyone who's going to help better head out now. I'm leaving first."
Boom!
Above the Titan homeland, the shadow of a vast world slowly materialized. From nothingness, an ancient Titan appeared. A faint blood aura exuded from his body, growing stronger by the second until it transformed into a vast ocean of golden blood mist, stretching for miles and twisting space with its intensity.
This Epic Titan raised his staff and pointed forward, instantly locating the Ancient Prison Lord's position and tearing open a portal. Without hesitation, he stepped through and disappeared.
The appearance of this Epic Titan sent shockwaves through countless eternal beings watching from the heavens.
"The Lord of Ten Elements is moving again? What's he up to?"
"No idea. He's not coming for me. I haven't provoked the Titans. But who's going to suffer this time?"
But the gods didn't realize that this was just the beginning. One by one, more Epic Titans appeared, opening void portals and stepping through.
After twelve Titans disappeared into the void, a pair of colossal golden eyes slowly opened. They were so immense that the entire world of Erathia experienced an anomaly—the sky gained two additional suns. Countless creatures looked up in fear, but the twin suns soon vanished as the ancient being closed its eyes once more.
As the depths of Titan heritage awakened, in the Underworld, a figure cloaked in a dark robe, holding a pen filled with ink, was silently writing in a heavy tome. The figure lifted its head for a moment, then resumed its endless writing in an undecipherable language.
Meanwhile, in another world within the same cluster as Erathia, a pair of massive dragon eyes slowly opened and gazed towards Erathia. With just the act of turning its head, the dragon triggered a regional earthquake, causing the death of countless creatures. Those beings were merely living on its eyelids, for its body was the land itself.
Back in the Pantheon, where the gods sat like statues, no one could remain still. The gods who had once seemed immovable were now engaging in frantic discussions, with divine messages bouncing around the halls. The entire Pantheon was shaken by the sudden movements of the Titan race—terrified, even.
The resurrection of Epic Titans was happening on such a massive scale that even the gods were frightened. If these Titans banded together, they could easily reduce the number of gods seated in this hall. Such power could reshape the entire world order, and now that power had awakened all at once.
"Calm down, everyone. The Titans' awakening isn't aimed at us. There's no need to overthink this and scare yourselves," said the Lord of Dawn, Lathander. His words quickly dispelled the uneasy atmosphere in the Pantheon.
"Lord Lathander, do you know why these Epic Titans are waking up?" one of the gods asked.
"I don't," Lathander replied bluntly, as he didn't have any connections with the Titans.
"Enough with the panic! There's no way the Titans are coming for any of us! Twelve Epic Titans have awakened, and if you think they're targeting you, think again—do you even matter?"
"If that's the case, then why are these Titans mobilizing in such large numbers?"
"I might have some idea," said Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon God, who had been in communication with other dragon gods. When he spoke, nearly every god, including the most powerful deities, turned to listen.
