"So, I've got a bit of source power in hand now. If I had known it was this easy to obtain in this world, I would've come sooner. I could've thickened my skin and fought that Titan for it. Who knows, out of courtesy, he might have given it to me. After all, at their level, their need for source power isn't as great as ours," sighed the Azure Tide Dragon King after witnessing the Ancient Prison Lord easily obtain a drop of source power.
"Dream on! Even if you got involved, you might have spent all your effort clearing out the root of the Evil God's corruption in this world, only to receive a few permissions to act freely here. Forget about source power; you wouldn't even get a sniff of it."
"Why do you think I wouldn't be able to get source power?" Azure Tide Dragon King retorted, clearly displeased with the Starlight Dragon King's words. Why could a Titan do it but not him? Why was he supposed to inflate the Titan's prestige and diminish his own as a dragon?
"Because you're not as strong as that Titan. The main reason he got the source power is that the world's will was forced out by the Evil God's minions. It's developed a rudimentary consciousness and now knows how to seek benefits and avoid harm.
That Titan just demonstrated the power to destroy it. Plus, he twisted space-time, tearing a part of the Evil God's body. He's planning to invade the Evil God's realm. So, this world would rather suffer serious damage than hold onto a drop of source power; it's like paying for protection. If it were you, you might help clean up the corruption, but that wouldn't be enough to make the world part with its source power. Sure, the world's been ravaged by the Evil God, but not to the point of collapse."
"I get it. No need to lecture me. You're just saying I'm weaker than him. This world gave that Titan a drop of source power because it feared him. It's just paying him off for peace!"
Hearing the dragons' conversation, Muria finally understood how the Ancient Prison Lord had obtained the source power, and he couldn't help but feel speechless. He now grasped how difficult it was to acquire source power.
The Ancient Prison Lord made it look easy, but it was because he was powerful enough. There was no other reason.
How many regular Epic beings had the qualifications to fight an Evil God whose influence extended into different realms, let alone tear off a part of the god's body through space?
"Is this a down payment for my reward?" The Ancient Prison Lord chuckled, looking at the dazzling drop of source power before him, with its dreamlike ability to shape all things. Without hesitation, he claimed it—he had earned it.
"Don't worry. This Evil God, who dared reach in here, will soon know what happens when you anger a Titan."
After speaking, the Ancient Prison Lord stepped forward, and the golden pathway beneath him pierced through the void's black hole. In an instant, he disappeared into it.
Once he vanished, the black hole began to close. However, as it neared a certain point, the Azure Tide Dragon King reached out with a claw, slowing its closure.
"I feel like joining the fun. How about you guys?" the blue-scaled dragon asked the other two dragon kings.
"Following an Epic Titan into another realm?"
"What's there to be afraid of? He's leading the charge."
"And what if we lose track of him?"
"We'll just spend more time getting back. It's not like we can't return."
"Fine, let's take a look then."
After making their decision, the dragons prepared to follow. The lively Starlight Dragon King took the lead, about to step into the black hole, when suddenly, from below, Ansor and Gold Dragon Atreus flew up. They immediately spotted the three dragons preparing to enter.
"Hey, where are you going? Take me with you! I want to see too!" The Gold Dragon didn't need to think twice. She knew there was an Epic Titan in play, and if he wasn't there anymore, it wasn't hard to guess where he'd gone. A Titan's behavior was predictable.
"Who's this little girl?" The Mountain Dragon King looked at her, puzzled.
"That's Atreus! Demus's daughter. I remember him asking me to take care of her before he left."
"Then we shouldn't take her along. Let her stay here," said the steady Mountain Dragon King.
"Come on, bring her along. There's an Epic Titan leading the way, and that god can't take him on anyway. What danger could there be with us around?" Azure Tide Dragon King replied casually.
"I want to go too," Muria immediately said, seeing the Gold Dragon preparing to leave.
"Sure!" Azure Tide Dragon King glanced at Muria, then snatched him up in one of his claws.
"Ansor, are you coming?" the Gold Dragon asked from atop the Starlight Dragon King.
"Yes," Ansor replied tersely. Even if he couldn't participate in the battle between an Epic Titan and an Evil God, just observing it would be a learning experience, especially with three dragon kings present.
"Let's all go, then!"
...
"You dare come here? How arrogant!" The Evil Lord Abhoth turned to face the spot on his body where an Epic from another realm had damaged him. The black hole above hadn't vanished; instead, a golden pathway stretched from it. A towering figure strode out onto it.
"But since you've come, don't expect to leave. This is my domain," the Evil Lord sneered, having initially planned to retreat. But now, enraged, he lunged forward, sending out a strange wave of energy from his twisted form.
In the desolate void, monstrous creatures began to rise from dead planets, answering his call. They formed a torrent, surging toward the Ancient Prison Lord.
"A minion army?" The Ancient Prison Lord snorted. Behind him, a shadowy world coalesced and solidified. Powerful creatures resembling dragon-serpents of varying sizes, from ten to a thousand meters long, poured out. Each had the ability to travel through the void, designed specifically for void warfare.
As his creations clashed with the twisted monsters, the Ancient Prison Lord turned his gaze to the vast form of the Evil Lord, a satisfied smile crossing his lips. He had found a worthy opponent.
Boom! Without any flashy moves, the Ancient Prison Lord simply threw a punch, and a torrent of lightning surged from his fist, instantly piercing the Evil Lord's body, creating a hole from front to back.
Hiss! The Evil Lord let out a pained soul scream, but his vicious nature quickly revealed itself. Hundreds of thick, twisted tentacles lashed out from his body, enveloped in black mist filled with the wails, curses, and resentment of countless souls.
"World's hatred?" The Ancient Prison Lord sneered. The curse left behind when a world was destroyed might become a weapon for the destroyer, but it was meaningless to him.
"Such a boring attack!" With a wave of his staff, invisible blades seemed to sweep out from him, instantly slaying millions of the Evil God's minions. The tentacles that entered his range were severed, their foul blood spilling into the void.
"You're too weak. Do you have any other tricks? If not, prepare to die here!" Having easily neutralized the Evil Lord's assault, the Ancient Prison Lord's gaze turned cold again.
"Foreigner, I admit you're strong, but since you dared chase me here, death is your only fate."
Though the Evil Lord had been severely wounded multiple times, his injuries quickly healed. This was the terrifying nature of an Epic being's body—almost indestructible. At this level, immortality was standard.
Battles between Epics were long and grueling. Unless the power gap was enormous, it was difficult for one to kill the other. Their contests involved not only individual strength but also their armies and control over source power—battles of endurance and resources.
If an Epic with an army could trap an opponent, there was a chance they could wear them down. However, such cases were rare. Still, Epics who didn't cultivate their resources didn't tend to last long.
"Use everything you have. Don't waste time. Soon you won't have the chance."
"Ha! Do you think I'm the only Evil God in this world cluster, you ignorant fool?"
