He then left without explaining further leaving a confused Rita behind."Maybe he is going through something",but then she dismissed the thought from her mind.Jermaine got into his car and was all smiling to himself thinking of how he had won a jackpot by finding the girl who was always in his dreams and mind.Little did he know what fate had planned for him.Rita vowed to herself to not get married untill she has finally had her PhD and she was not willing to change her stand for anything or anyone that's if it's even possible that any person can stop her from achieving her dreams.Saying she was a hard nut to crack was an understatement because she was a force to reckon with when it comes to her dreams ,life and future.Jermaine was a tall man who surpassed every woman's requirements in a man in fact, he seemed like a fantasy.He was born with a golden spoon in his mouth and got all he wished for even before requesting for it Problems were things he never knew existed untill his parents decided to enroll him into a middle class elementary school where he associated with people of a different class from his.And this was how he met with the girl who dominated his dreams eversince they parted ways while joining highschool.He was hellbent on finding her.When he told one of his close friend about his dreams ,he told him it was because he was thinking of her but Jermaine felt that there was more to it than just thinking it was like something connects them both.He headed back to his office which was located in one of his many companies since he managed more than five companies which were owned by his company, not mentioning the many hotels,malls,schools and airlines he personally owned.He had all in life except for his better half.Being a playboy was not in his dictionary but he was a man and also has his needs but he always has his ways to cater for those without thrusting his manhood into some woman's crotch.Although he was a man whose life was based on work, work and work,he had some friends from the same school he met Rita and was one of the eligible bachelors of the country.Remembering her from Wayback,Rita was submissive according to him but very clever and intelligent.He had no words to describe how beautiful she now looked and attractive. But he forgot an important detail that she was independent and very determined to get to her dreams.The day passed by and Rita was on her way out when Claret caught up with her complaining that her bestie was a very fast walker which she excuses as a way to save time as it is very crucial given their line of work."You should consider taking part in walking competitions.Anyway gal,I have something serious to say you.The alert came earlier and our period is almost due so take precautions and this also reminds us of that fertility thing to though we are still young and far from our dreams."Claret stated.Rita was just twenty four and had no plans of even having a boy friend talk more of having children.They parted ways since they both were tired and decided to rest as the following.day was a Saturday.Rita had planned to take care of Rosemary's chemo and radiotherapy sessions so she wasn't going to have a weekend at least not this time .She even carried Rosemary's medical report to ascertain everything is fine and she will be safe .She stayed up a few hours to do some research and finalize checking on the report she carried home.Being a surgeon was always her dream but also a professor so she was very passionate about her job and her sleep was one of the many things she sacrificed to get where she was in life .She woke the following morning ready to save a life as was her pledge .She got there early and put all things ready for Rosemary's treatment and she didn't wait as Rosemary was on time and they got down to work and after that she assigned a nurse to ensure Rosemary had enough rest and was administered IV fluid before leaving and she left to attend to other patients .It seemed like she was the only doctor around as many of her fellow surgeons had no operations for that day till the following day but some had.She had been busy all through the week that she forgot to check on her family.She made a mental note to call them when she was free .While heading to her office she met a sight which almost took her breath away as her eyes landed on a tall fair skinned young man in casual clothes which seemed to sell his class well and in dark shades talking to a nurse and she recognised the guy immediately as Jermaine.'Why did my heart beat suddenly move from seventy two to a hundred ?' she questioned herself.Jermaine's presence there was to ask Rita out for lunch or maybe dinner .The moment their eyes locked while looking at a each other,their heart beats rhymed but Rita looked somewhere to avoid any awkward situations.
