"Don't give me a scare like that again please", claret said to her very selfless bestie who is always putting others before herself. "You know i thought i caught both of you staring into each others eyes when i came , if i didn't know any better I'd say old flames are rekindling " claret said as she watched Rita who was feigning ignorance . Well theres nothing there really and you of all people should now that ,, i have better things to focus on besides am not looking to be heartbroken given the person in question is a player which i dont believe has changed so ,, No Thanks ",, she emphasized the last bit . claret just looked at her wondering when she'll overcome her fear of heartbreaks and just allow someone love her like she loves others selflessly. the besties later ordered take outs and claret left for her apartment after much convincing from Rita that she could take care of herself.
The following morning rita woke up midmorning feeling refreshed and since she wasnt on duty she decided to stay at home , watch a movie or two and maybe read a novel which she hasnt done in a while due to her packed schedule.As she was picking a movie to watch her doorbell rang and she shouted " claret you have a key use it " ,, but the doorbell rang again and when she opened the door she wished the ground would open and swallow her alive ,, her eyes landed on the one person she didnt want to see ,, Jermaine."Um come in please", she noticed he was staring and she was embarrassed as she tried to fix her messy morning hair thankfully she had done her morning skin care routine .

I got to her door and suddenly the thought of coming over to check on her seemed stupid because it would be obvious i was worried about her which wasnt bad but still . i rang the doorbell and heard her shouting from inside ,, she thought it was claret so i rang again and the moment she opened the door i couldn't believe my eyes ,, her face glowed and her brown big eyes showed she was well rested ooh and lets not forget her full glossy lips that begged to be kissed all that coupled up with her morning hair that was messy in the sexiest way ,, it was it a high messy bun ,, did i forget to say that she was in a sleeveless top that gave access to her full heavy chest and the fact that she was in shorts that barely covered her thighs ,, my oh my if thought she was pretty then now i think shes a goddess .i had stared for far too long that she was blushing untill she ushered me in and excused herself to go upstairs.
Rita
Ive never been so uncomfortable under a mans gaze like that ,, it was almost as though he undressed me and did unthinkable things to me just by staring ,, i had to go cover up . i was in such in such a hurry to go upstairs i didnt even notice he brought some things with him,, how unnecessarily thoughtful." I wasnt expecting you is everything okay ?" i asked as i went back to the livingroom where he was. " I thought to check in on you if you have recovered ,, i apologize for not telling you before coming but i would if i had your contact " he used this as a route to kill two birds with one stone . She told him it was okay and gave him her personal number even though she had an internal monologue on whethere to give him the office one instead.
she then took the things he brought to the kitchen ,, they were doughnuts ,coffee, chocolates and some snacks ,, its almost like he knew her period cravings which was creepy. she made coffee for both of them and some of the doughnuts he brought and brought them for them to have together .Jermaine had never seen this hospitable side of her and he loved it ,, he asked her how she was feeling as she served the coffee and it was then he noticed she liked black sugarless coffee ,, "i wouldnt have pegged you as a black coffee kinda person ,, that makes me want to give up my sweet tooth ", she smiled and told there are alot of things he doesnt know of her.
As breakfast went on he asked her when she was having her leave seeing as he wanted to invite her to their class reunion that was two weeks from then. Coincidentally she was the only one they werent able to reach out to and finally they were going to be complete again. "i think i can make time before i head home ,, just text me the deets ". Jermaine did a jubilation dance inwardly when she agreed to join the reunion which meant he would spend more time with her. After they had breakfast Jermaine left for work saying he needed to check in on her before heading to work later ,, that made her feel kinda special inside .
Two weeks had passed since Jermaine visited Rita at her place and invited her for the reunion ,, they hadnt met physically again and they silently missed each other . It was on friday mid morning and Rita was zipping her suitcase where she had all her stuff when her phone rang and it was Mrs Wellington her mother ,, " Yes mom ill be sure to come home after the reunion and ill say hi to him yeah i remember " ,, her mother remembered jermaine as rita's first crush and love and was elated when she told her that they had bumped into each other ,, she wished her a safe travel and told her to unwind and have fun. Just as she was done with her mom a message came in from jermaine giving her directions of the destination .
