(POV: 3rd person / Location: Teague)

A heavy rainstorm pelts the state as people move along with their day-to-day life. Some running because they forgot an umbrella, some walking because they don't care, and one who simply wanted to enjoy the scent of rain as he walked through the more empty part of his home city.

His umbrella keeping him and his headphones dry as he walked with a smile on his face, simply enjoying his day before stopping to look around as he feels his stomach drop and his headphones begin to glitch and play static.

Putting his headphones around his neck, the boy looks around franticly as the very world around him has come to a stop. No sound, no wind, no rain. The only thing he could feel was a tingle shooting up his spine, making him look up.

There it was. A bolt of lightning a few feet away from hitting the tip of his umbrella. He didn't even have time to shout or process what was happening before the bolt touched the umbrella, making him close his eyes.

(Pov 1st)

.

Sitting up with a gasp, I look around only to find myself in a school hallway filled with flowers and the sunlight from outside spilling in, instantly calming my rapid heart as I look at my hands. []

"Wasn't he just reduced to cinder? Where the hell am I? And why is skin color paler than before?"

Standing to my feet, I begin to walk down the hall with cautious steps looking into the classrooms now and then to see if i could find anyone yet all there was are empty classrooms with the same flower and grass covered floors.

"Where am I really? This can't be heaven because I'm sure an angel would have shone themselves by now. It's not hell because I doubt hell looks this good. And it can't be limbo because I'm still very much conscious"

Making it to the end of the hall, I put the thought of my location behind me for now as I spot a door labeled principle's office. Holding my breath, I knock on the door twice before a woman's voice echoes from behind it.

???: "Gaia, if that's you, can you Please leave me alone. I have a lot of work to organize and no one to do it"

"Um. Sorry to bother you, miss. But my name is Axel. I was struck by lightning earlier and woke up here. Can you help me?" My voice sounded unfamiliar. Younger and more French than American I'm used to, but for now I'll focus on where I am. One step at a time.

Silence greeted me for a moment before rapid footsteps made their way to me as I backed up just as the door was thrown open, revealing a tall woman about 6'3 wearing a dress as white as the four wings on her back with golden armor along them. Her long and curly crimson hair catches the light of the open sky behind her while her sapphire blue eyes that look at me in shock as she raises her gloved hands to her face, covering the freckles around her nose. []

???: "Oh, mes étoiles! Are you okay? Oh, of course you're not okay you just said you were struck by lightning! Je suis vraiment une idiote!"

Waving my hands I try to get her attention "Oi, Oi. I'm okay! Calm down. Let's start with introductions. As I said a few seconds ago, I'm Axel." It seems to work as she takes a deep breath before sighing.

Eris: "Apologies for my panic. You're the first human soul to entire my domain since I first awoke. My name Is Eris, I'm the goddess of Chaos. It's nice to meet you Axel. Please come in I need to hear what happed to you properly"

Walking into the room, I sit in a chair opposite to her desk as she begins to look at my soul files, trying to figure out why I'm in her domain instead of heaven. Only to find more and more evidence that I'm definitely in the right place.

Eris: "Age 6 Struck by lightning. Age 10 hit by a car. Age 12 phone exploded in pocket. Age 16 won the lottery. Age 18 cursed with immortality. Age 19 mother passes from heart failure. . . What is this!?"

I can't really do anything but ┐( ̄ ヘ ̄)┌ I mean come on how am I supposed to know that. And hell, that wasn't even all the little mishaps in my life, just some major ones that stuck with me.

"Yep, that sounds about right. But what do you mean by cursed with immortality? I died" My question snaps her out of her frantic rereading as she looks around before reading a different file.

Eris: "It says here you had a curse put on you. Quantum Immortality. When you're about to 'die' your consciousness, it moved to a timeline where whatever was about to kill you misses. It's extremely rare but not unheard of"

Looking away from her I hold a hand up to my chin in confusion "Quantum immortality? When was I" I stop my train of thought as a distant moment played out Vividly in my mind.

Old man: "I curse you with immortality... Good day~"

That old bastard! I should have known the old geezer with a glass eye could actually curse me! But why?! He just walked into the Lowes I worked at and cursed me, then left! He didn't even buy anything!

Huffing at my, I don't even know what type of fortune it is anymore I lean back into my chair before looking back at Eris. "That still dosn't explain why I'm here with you instead of going to the traditional afterlife though"

Humming to herself, Eris begins looking through more files till she spots one off from the others. It's more golden than the other files and even seems to glow a bit as she touched it and began reading through it, her eyes widening as she read.

Eris: "Incredible. When your Quantum Immortality activated, It couldn't find a living timeline as the lightning that struck you appeared to have severed you from other timelines. So, to preserve your soul, it threw your consciousness into the domain that connects to your life the most sacrificed itself to create you a new body here.

Snapping her fingers, Eris makes a mirror, allowing me to see the 'new' me. My hair was a honey, orange color that was straight yet curved at the ends and my eyes were a soft emerald green. But the most noticeable thing was the freckles along my nose and face, which matched Eris's to a less extent. []

"So what you're saying is the energy within your domain was used by my Quantum Immortality to create my body?" Nodding, Eris' eyes glow for a moment as she looks at my chest. Guess the Gods being able to see the soul wasn't wrong after all.

Eris: "It appears so. Your soul is linked to the surrounding chaos within my domain. Technically, making you an apostle of mine"

She muttered something to herself which I couldn't hear before perking up with a lightbulb going off over her head "Huh, guess those anime tropes were real after all"

Eris: "I have an idea! Since you re technically my apostle and let's be honest, you've experienced more chaos than most gods. Would you be willing to help me restabilize a few worlds overflowing with chaos? Don't worry, I won't just send you without something to take care of yourself. Just name an ability and it's yours"

That gives me pause as I look up at the floating clouds of this liminal space around us. I could decline and simply get sent to heaven or hell. But where's the fun in that! Mom always said I was a chaotic soul, so what better way to prove it than work with the goddess of chaos herself!

"you know what? Sure! Sign me up!" I agree with a grin, causing Eris' wings to flutter in Happyness as a grin of her own forms on her face.

Eris: "Yes! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! The other gods wouldn't stop asking for help, yet I could never find a person willing to work with chaos to become my champion. But enough about that! What ability do you want to have while doing this?"

"Look into my soul and you'll already know~ If I'm gonna be your Champion of chaos, I want the most chaotic thing known to mankind~ A Gacha System~" I declare with a grin causing her to laugh before snapping her fingers causing a grey holographic screen to appear in front of me with golden text.

I read my name and Chuckle a bit "Really? Apostolos, the Greek name meaning Apostol~" I tease, making her huff and look away with a pout.

Eris: "I'm not good with names. And technically, it isn't wrong, since the chaos within your soul makes you stand out as an outsider to other gods. So having the name meaning One who is sent should let them know it was me'

I really can't argue with her reasoning. Doesn't make it any less funny though "How do I open my Gatcha system Miss Eris?" This causes her to huff again before looking at me with a pout

Eris: "Non of that! It's Eris, not miss, not goddess. You're my Apostol, and I hate formalities. But to answer your question, Simply double tap your heart before swiping your arms in an arc to bring it up"

Shaking my head with a smile, I do as instructed, opening a dark red screen with a large black box on top and 8 dark blue buttons under it.

Five buttons are in a horizontal line reading Abilities, Items, Traits, Skills, and Familiars. Then a larger one under the line that says Random with the last button being on the side of the screen reading Roll in a vertical line.

Eris: "Now the first world you will enter is dangerous but more tame compared to the others. Because of that, I'm giving you five bronze Tickets you can use on their own. Or combine into one Silver ticket"

This causes me to hold a hand to my chin as I try to rationalize what would help me the most right now. She said the world I'm going to is dangerous yet tamer than others, so I can't just make the silver ticket because silver better. This is a chaos system, so the chances of that silver rolling a bronze are a possibility.

If I have five rolls, that will give me more chances of something useful to start with. But what about should I risk the item and familiar buttons? I know for a fact that systems like this have an inventory to store the items, but what about familiars?

I don't want to risk rolling a familiar that could get one shot by a gun or something similar. There is a chance I get something good from the two, but the chances of them not being helpful at the moment because their bronze is a high possibility.

For now? I'll go with two Skills, a Trait, and two Abilities. It'll give me more chances to defend myself or give me an offensive capability and I probably have a chance of rolling a silver if my luck is good.

Nodding to myself, I press the three buttons, causing them to glow bronze and click the roll button, causing the screen on top to display the image of a Blackhole with a bronze event horizon before it implodes, leaving five lights, One silver, three bronze, one white.

I clap my hand with a smile as the information for the five rolls is slowly absorbed into my brain."These will help immensely~ Match may seem weak, but being able to make a campfire at anytime is great. Now mix it with Gust and you have yourself a fire that's locked in a bubble of wind, keeping it burning even in the coldest condition~"

Eris: "Even your luck is chaotic. A trash pull then a silver is not what i was expecting"

Nodding along, I open my stats page again and slot Gust into my ability slot before noticing my Int stat changed causing my to look to Eris with a head tilt.

Eris: "Your stats can be raised by certain stimuli since it's always changing. The reason Int went up is that of your advanced understanding of math and basic understanding of mechanics, which rose it from F to F+ then E-"

Nodding at the explanation, I Hold my hand and point at the ground before using gust, causing me to yelp as it blows me back and into the wall making me groan as i get up and rub my back "Note to self get proper footing before using gust or I'll blown back from the winds. Better here than in a fight, I guess"

Eris giggles before healing me by head pat, causing me to hum at the feeling before gently taking a crystal 20 sided dice that has a strange glowing core in the center that she hands to me. []

Eris: "Here. This Dice is called the Loca-roller. All gods and goddess agreed that our apostles have to roll this to determine where they end up. Also, your magic and abilities, some of them, will change their appearance to match the world you appear in."

Nodding, I take a deep breath before rolling the dice out to the other wall, causing it to display a spinning magic circle of a 10 above it, which opens a portal within the magic ring.

"Yeah, that's about right. I'll be back in a bit or whenever I finish these missions. Till then, miss Eris." I wave while walking to the portal, causing her to smile as she waves back.

Eris: "Till then. Let the winds of chaos be forever in your favor, my child."

Nodding with a smile, I walk into the portal, causing it to close behind me as I begin to walk through the tunnel of light.

⫘⫘⫘+[☢️]~☠︎︎~[☢️]+⫘⫘⫘

Humming to myself, I spot the exit of the portal which causes my smile to grow as I get close to the bright exit and bringing an arm up to shield my eyes to get used to it the light before getting a good look at my new home for a time. <>

"So this is my new home for a while~" I whistle and nod to myself before the sound of gunshots ring off from my right causing me to sigh with a smile "What a perfect welcome home gift"

Moving over to the corner of a building, I peek around the corner and spot three familiar robots shooting at what looked to be zombies with purple crystals growing out of their bodies in various places.

"Those look like Protectrons and a Mr.Gutsy? Did Eris really send me to a Fallout world variant? I mean, it tracks with its brand of chaos." Moving out from the corner, I jog over to the robots already making up a lie in my head if asked anything.

"Heard the gunfire. Is there anything I can do to help?" I ask while stopping next to the Mr.Gutsy and braising myself as I hold up a hand and use Gust, causing a green magic circle the size of a car tire to appear over my palm before blasting back three of the Crystal zombies the fall into the water below.

It takes a few minutes for the protections and Mr.Gutsy to pick off the rest of the zombies in the area before the Mr.gutsy turned to me.

Mr.Gutsy: "Hold it right there. I appreciate the assistance civilian. But who are you!? you're not a soldier, nor are we near any safe zones. State your identity!"

"Sorry, sir. My name is Axel Willson I came from a vault that was experimenting with Teleportation technology and just showed up here recently. I don't know what's going on but I can spot a proper American made killing machine from a mile away"

If this world truly is a variant of fallout, then the vaults will always exist. It's one of the main reasons for the problems in the wasteland. Well, most of them.

Mr.Gutsy: "Verifying. . . Vault found! Welcome to North Korea son. Always glad to see a young US citizen ready to bring freedom to such a godless place! Follow me son, our missions done so we're heading back to base. It'll be a three-day trip, So I hope you're ready for the voyage soldier."

Standing straight, I give the robot a salute "Ready when you are, sir! Happy to bring freedom to this Communist hell hole!" I grin, causing the Mr.Gutsy to laugh.

Mr.Gutsy: "Damn Right! Let's roll!"

Nodding along, I begin walking with the tree robots with a smile as I remember my own Mr.Gutsy from the Automatron DLC "I wish we had more charisma checks with the military robots. This is hilarious, awesome, and lucrative~"

(Yo! Made another one. . . God, I need medication to help with this. Anyway! This one is a massive project. I'm talking like Seven different worlds massive. If anyone recognizes where these worlds come from, I pray for your Isekai to be chaotic and fun.)

(I am leaning fully into the Chaos aspect of this book! From the Chaos system of Bronzedeck. To rolling a D20 for the locations of new worlds and another D20 before every event in the book to see what happens! 1 equals "Welp time for big monster" and 20 equaling "Damn son found a clue to the main Quest" The three robots was a 15)

(I also have a calculation tree for the stats of each letter and how powerful some enemies can be. Axel will have to run or escape to fight another day sometimes. He'll be powerful, but someone or something will always have more experience. "Someone who fights for fun and someone who fights to survive both have unique styles and thinking" A quote from my mom)
