The inside of the secret passage looked as though it had been carved straight through a wall of sharp, jagged rocks. Yet these weren't ordinary stones. Their uneven surfaces shimmered like polished gems, catching even the faintest traces of light and scattering them through the dark water in countless little reflections.
Every movement they made caused the light to shift across the walls, making it seem as though they were swimming through a tunnel filled with tiny, glowing stars.
Aok's tail reflected beautifully against the gem-like rocks. Every time his long green-blue tail moved through the water, the scales caught the scattered light and reflected it back onto the surrounding walls, making the entire passage glow brighter around them.
The further they swam, the more breathtaking the strange sight became. It was almost difficult to believe that a place like this could exist beneath the water, hidden away from the outside world for who knew how many years.
