Hearing this, Gabrielle snapped, "What kind of nonsense is that? When did I agree to marry into the Marquis family? Is there a problem with your eyesight or hearing?"
Nidia quickly stopped Gabrielle and signaled her to calm down.
"Well, some people just can't get the hint. It's meaningless to talk to them," remarked Nidia.
Gabrielle had already mentioned they were not acquaintances. If Barbara knew better, she should have left them alone instead of making such spiteful remarks.
After saying that, Nidia planned to leave the scene with Gabrielle as she no longer wanted to entertain her.
However, it seemed like Nidia's response aggravated Barbara. When she saw Nidia standing by the pond, a sudden wicked thought occurred to her--she decided to make Nidia a laughing stock by pushing her into the pond.
Barbara sprang into action immediately and dashed toward Nidia. Unexpectedly, Nidia turned her body sideways and dodged her perfectly.
