"Knock, knock, knock—" Jennifer Von knocked on the door outside, "Ava, are you up yet?"
Ava Kent was hurriedly changing clothes, casually tying her hair into a messy bun.
"Mom, I'm going to be late. You eat by yourself. I'll just take a bottle of milk with me."
Jennifer felt a bit speechless, "Look at you, a grown-up now, how can you not know how to set an alarm clock? Sleeping in even when going to university?"
While mumbling, she went to pack a breakfast. Just as Ava stepped out, she bumped into her.
"Here, how is one bottle of milk enough? Take all these with you."
Ava glanced at the white plastic bag in her hand, containing two eggs, two individually wrapped pieces of bread, plus a bottle of milk.
"Thanks, Mom, you're the best, love you."
Ava smacked a kiss on Jennifer Von's cheek and then ran off to wash.
Jennifer wiped her face in disgust, "Ew, your saliva got on my face..."
