"Mrs Whitney!" Jane screamed and made way down the stage. Williams already carried her and made way upstairs to the room.
"Whitney please stay with me, I don't want to lose you again. Someone get the doctor, where's Mike?" Williams yelled, and Grace immediately pulled out her phone.
"Hey Mike, we need you back at the mansion. Can you please make it here?" Grace asked and mumbled few more words before ending the call.
Williams took Whitney to his room and dropped her gently on the bed. He went on his knees and took her hand bringing it to his mouth and kissed it.
Jane was crying and Chris hugged her trying to console her. Grace and Kyle came into the room and saw the scene. They didn't understand what was happening, but chose not to say anything and allow their father have his moment.
Chris has never seen his father looked this vulnerable and helpless. The only side of his father he has ever seen, is the great tycoon with so much business wisdom. He always looked up to his father, and today he looks up to him even more.
She must be the woman he spoke about this night. But how all of that connects to Jane is something he can't seem to wrap his head around.
Mike arrived and was led into the room by Jack, who was also worried. He can't afford anything to happen to Mrs Whitney now. He needs her now more than ever. If he's ever going to take that murderer down, he needs the victim of the whole thing present.
Besides, she means a lot to her sister, and she was her mother's best friend. Seeing Jane cry like that made him hurt, and he didn't know how to react to the whole thing.
"Please save Mrs Whitney. Nothing must happen to her. Are you even listening to me, Chris? Please do something." Jane cried out, and Chris hugged her again, comforting her.
"It's okay, she will be fine. Mike will revive her, you will see." Chris assured her.
"Mr Smith, you are going to have to let go of her so I can examine her, sir." Mike said, and Williams looked up at him, his eyes wet with tears.
Mike was stunned. He has never seen Mr Smith like this. He looked around and saw everyone with the same gloomy look and wondered what might be happening.
"Can I please just hold her like this? I have not seen her in over thirty years, please!" Williams pleaded and started crying. Mike didn't know what to do, so he looked up at Chris for some help.
"Dad please allow Mike to do his job. If you don't allow her to get treated, then you might never be able to hold her again." Chris said and Williams stood up reluctantly. He stood by the side and watched Mike do a check up on Whitney.
"Come on Jane, we should stay outside till Mike is done. You guys too," Chris said referring to Grace, Kyle and Jack.
"But I want to stay here with her. I need to be by her side when she wakes up." Jane complained.
"My dad is already here, and I'm sure they will want to have some moments alone." Chris said, and Jane nodded her head in agreement.
They all left the room and waited by the door.
"Did you have any idea that your dad knew Mrs Whitney. And from the look of things, they seemed to have been close." Jane said, and Chris shook his head.
"I had no idea, even though tonight. Dad told me about the woman he was in love with and still loves many years ago. I think that person was Mrs Whitney." Chris said.
"Hmmm! Remember when he found out about us? He told me a similar story, and he said the woman was a maid in his parent's house alongside your mom. But I never thought the woman he was talking about was Mrs Whitney." Jane said, surprised.
"Or could we be mistaken? Maybe it's something else and we are overthinking the matter.
"I don't think we are wrong. In fact, I'm convinced she's the one. Did you see the way dad looked at her. The man is smitten with her, he won't even let her go. After thirty years and he still loves her this much?" Grace was amazed.
"True love does exist then." Jack made an unexpected remark.
"Indeed Jack. True love does exist." Grace agreed her mind beating fast as she thought about Mike. Her cheeks burned with excitement, and she really can't wait to see him again.
Jane and Chris looked into each other eyes, and smiled warmly at each other. Despite how heated the night has become, they can't to be alone and wrap their hands around each other.
Chris kissed her on the forehead. He honestly can't wait to take her and make her his tonight.
Jack looked at the both of them, and then at Grace. He couldn't help but smile as his mind drifted to the girl he has been looking for.
Not one day goes by without he thinking about her. He just hopes that the universe is kind enough to let them cross path once more. And if he ever gets that opportunity, he will never let her go.
The door to the room opened and Mike emerged from the room. His eyes searched for Grace first, and when he found her, he smiled.
"What's happening?" Kyle asked breaking the atmosphere. Clearly the others doesn't seems to be thinking straight. Their brains is currently being controlled by their hearts.
"She only suffered from shock. It would have been severe if I hadn't arrived when I did. But there's nothing to worry about. She's now conscious but a bit weak." Mike said, and Jane tried to go into the room.
"Uhmmm Jane you might want to hold on a little bit. Those two are bawling their eyes out. Seems like a reunion, and it's going to be a long night." Mike said, and Jane paused.
"Oh!" Jane shook her head.
"Williams! Williams!!" Maria's voice broke into the atmosphere, and she came up looking all dishevelled.
