"Yes, I feel sorry for the kid, is there a problem?!" Hayley snapped back, as she pushed the chair away walking towards the person who started the commotion.The students in the canteen backed away from Hayley and the boy, as if they were trying to avoid a war zone.
"Hayley calm down, this is our project partner, if you scare him away we might fail our project." June tried to remind her.
Seeing that Hayley was unresponsive, she backed away slowly.
Sensing the tense atmosphere the students broke out in cold sweat as they tried to hold their breath.
An indifferent voice rang out breaking the tense atmosphere. "What happened here?" Before anyone could answer the sound of rain could be heard.
"Why is it raining, I just checked the weather, and it said ' sunny all day long '." Susan complained as she frowned.
"Wait look outside!!" The student's shout frighted everyone.
As they rushed towards the window Susan shouted,
"Stop, don't get close to the window!!"
No surprise needed, they didn't listen, as soon as they touched the window it broke with the rain spilling inside staining the floor red. As everyone was puzzled the television news automatically popped up on the 16 inch TV.
"Breaking news! A world class phenomenon has been spotted in Country Y, advice from the world class research scientist is to refrain from going outside at all cost. We'll be right back with more news of the symptoms."
As everyone listened to the news in a daze a scream was heard from outside waking everyone, but before they could process what was happening a loud bang was heard from the canteen door.
Students could be seen running, pishing, pulling and crying. The voice from earlier rang out, "Lock the doors!"
A group of students ran towards the door and locked it.
The group of students outside noticed this and tried to to push their way in. "What should we do?!!" A student asked in panic as he looked at the students who were trying to open the door. Other students voiced out words like "Will we die?!!", "The world is ending!!", "I want to go home!!!"
As Hayley and her group listened to everyone complain with headaches. An indifferent voice rang out behind them scaring them into jumping away from their chairs.
"You guys must be my project partners, nice to meet you."
They were stunned for a minute looking at the girl in front of them, her black hair seemed to be silver and her eye color seemed to be hidden. Siera was pushed forward by the rest, feeling betrade she glared at them before she replied with a gulb,
"Y-yes, nice t-to - me- me- me (cough) meet you."
"Wait a minute, excuse me, but what class do you come from?" June asked as she pushed her glasses up.
"Gifted class."
"Name." Susan asked as her amber brown eyes flashed with excitement.
"January."
"Last name." Hayley tried to push January to revel her name.
"King." January continued as if she did notice their excitement.
Everyone in the canteen stoped talking us January's last word dropped, a few seconds later Hayley and the rest couldn't even see a shadow of January, the students surrounded her, as they tried to get her autograph.
"Can somebody tell me what is going on." Jaxon used as his eyebrows raised with surprise.
"She is THE January King everyone knows her more than me!" Hayley said she looked at Jaxon with disdain evident in her light blue eyes.
"..." Jaxon blankly looked at Hayley. "Oh come on, are you that stupid!" After that sentence that the two broke out into a fight.
