Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Marnaru

As Celvar prepared to strike life into the world with the omen hammer, something came from the darkness of the void.

A hellish shriek bellowed as the entity knocked Celvar prone. The creature loomed over her, its porcelain body marred by fractures that revealed purple flesh oozing bright pink ichor over its emaciated form.

Its face was made of white shards from its chest upwards, forming a face with black eyes peering from each fragment.

The creature then set upon Celvar, tearing her body into pieces and throwing the torn parts into the world below, causing it to crack and shatter.

"Celvar the unworthy, Celvar the undone, Die in your misbegotten world, " the creature bellowed at the fading mutilated body.

The Shapers, horrified by the violence, furiously assailed the creature, pushing it back from the still body of Celvar; their efforts were ineffective as the beast swatted them away effortlessly. One of the spirits picked up Celvar's hammer and struck the monster. It shrieked in pain; its blood-coloured the void a dark purple. Striking with continuous blows, they banished the beast back into the void.

They turned their attention to both the world broken, and Celvar, who was fading fast. Without pause, the host collected the goddess pieces and incorporated them into the world, making it whole again. With the omen hammer, they struck the globe; the clay came into life. The birds and trees came to life. The people awakened for the first time and wandered through their strange surroundings.

The host dubbed this new world Celvar'wen in honour of their fallen goddess and lamented her loss. Their sorrow would be short-lived.

With the world brought to life, Celvar rematerialised before them, reborn as the Gaia of the world. However, her followers were shocked; her left arm was missing. Her followers could not find her arm despite their searching.

Regardless, Celvar was grateful and offered the gift of divinity to become a diva of this world.

The most powerful of them graciously took the gift, while others only wished to assist them.

Those who declined the gift became the angelic hosts who served Celvar and Diva.

With renewed spirit, they set about building a barrier. No longer can uninvited godly entities intrude upon them again.

They now turned their attention to the world and their cherished creations.

Within the void, Marnaru retreated from the scorn of the omen hammer, which caused immeasurable harm. The memory of that pain of the hammer was burned into his soul, which he will never forget.

He could never return to the place again, and the sight of the hammer tortured his soul.

Marnaru cursed the barrier and the omen hammer, but he held a part of that world that could reach in—the arm of Celvar.
