Chapter 1 - A God.

[Earth]

Far from the bustling city, in a remote and quiet land, stood a lonely store. The surrounding area was desolate, lifeless, and forgotten by time. Inside the store, a man named Kevingu dozed in a wooden chair behind the counter, his face peaceful, unbothered by the world or its chaos.

As the sun dipped below the horizon and twilight embraced the land, darkness crept in, blanketing the area in shadows. Kevingu stirred, slowly rising from his chair. He moved lazily, as if time itself bent around his pace, and began to close the store for the day.

After shutting the doors and dimming the lights, he made his way to the kitchen to cook dinner. But as the aroma of food began to fill the air, something strange happened. A sudden surge of power swept through the space like a silent storm—intense, chilling—and then vanished just as quickly.

Kevingu paused. His hand stopped over the stove. His expression remained unreadable.

Then, with a calm breath, he exhaled a single puff of air.

Quiet… but with it, something distant was erased from existence.

[The Zones]

The Zones—multidimensional realms brimming with strange creatures and chaotic beauty. They were homes to monsters, spirits, and beings beyond comprehension. Overflowing with rare resources and arcane energy, they quickly became hunting grounds for Superhumans from Earth.

Each Zone varied: some glowed with crystalline forests, others trembled under skies of eternal lightning.

And wherever resources gathered, so did danger.

In one such dimension, a group of Superhumans sat catching their breath, nursing their wounds after a brutal battle with a colossal beast. Their guard remained up, their instincts sharp. But none of them noticed the figure lurking behind them—silent, intent.

Before the figure could act—fwoosh—a gust of invisible wind swept through.

When it passed, the figure was gone.

Not injured.

Erased.

[Earth: Year 2000]

By the turn of the century, Earth had evolved beyond imagination. With the advent of the Zones and the birth of Superhumans, technology and society advanced at a breakneck pace. Governments, corporations, and powerful organizations kept a close eye on every citizen.

Educational systems were redesigned.

New schools, universities, and military academies focused on one goal:

to refine and weaponize the powers of the next generation.

More than 99% of humanity was now born with some form of power.

The rare few without powers were treated as anomalies—often ridiculed.

Kevingu was one of them. Or so the world believed.

In truth, from the moment he was conceived, Kevingu had concealed his power—so deeply, not even the most advanced scans could detect it. As he grew, he endured mockery and isolation. But he remained indifferent. Powerless or not, he walked his own path.

His parents, despite everything, loved him deeply.

But fate was cruel.

His mother died when he was just four years old.

At eight, his father was forced by government mandate to remarry a powerful widow in hopes of producing stronger offspring. She had two daughters of her own, aged seven and six, and in time, she bore two more children with Kevingu's father—a boy and a girl.

Surprisingly, despite being "powerless," Kevingu was loved by his entire new family. His stepsisters, stepmother, and even the younger siblings all adored him. It was as if they sensed something more… something unspoken.

After college, Kevingu fulfilled a childhood promise—

He moved away from the city and opened a small store in a remote, shadowy place.

His family helped build it for him without question.

They visited often, and were his only real customers.

To outsiders, Kevingu's life looked bleak and unambitious.

To Kevingu, it was perfect.
