The flame swirled to the demon's side, followed by the white bone ring rotating between the two. The ring's face was carved with an elderflower:

The demon smiled at Shard:
"Of course, this does not make you unable to die, it merely extends your lifespan. Or, it can counteract the effects of some Arcane Technique or relics that consume life. Naturally, there is a price. The Negative Trait is a permanent grinding of emotions. However, for emotionally rich humans, the impact is minimal, but for small animals like cats and dogs, it's deadly. Still, the increase in physical lifespan will not strengthen the soul's power to resist time."
The demon paused:
