In the blink of an eye, another 3 months had passed.
Forest continued to go to Viridian Forest after the first day he and Igna went there almost daily, and that's where they were now.
Over time the Pokemon inhabiting the outskirts of the forest began to get used to his presence there. Igna would spar with them but they would never seriously hurt each other.
The wild pokemon hadn't experienced something like this before. Typically, trainers would seriously injure them, catch them, or even outright kill them.
At first, they were apprehensive, but soon they felt that Forest actually meant no harm and began to feel more comfortable around him. Forest would even gather berries and share them with all of the wild Pokemon around.
With all of these factors, Forest was accepted by the wild pokemon.
Forest looked at his Chimchar playing with a nearby Caterpie, yes that's right. A Cateripie! He got over his fear not so long ago and began training and playing with them now.

Forest had a tinge of pride in his eyes. Igna had never progressed so much before.
Forest had gotten Igna to use Thunder Punch. Although it had its set of difficulties, after learning Fire Punch, it made it easier. He had tried to get Igna to use Ember as well, but it was still hard for him, they just need to work on it more.
With Igna going out and actually battling and training in the forest with the wild Pokemon, his level had increased more than it had in since he was born! He had never been stronger.
Forest didn't slack off either. It was dangerous being a trainer. Although the outskirts of the Viridian Forest were harmonious right now, other places aren't always gonna be like this.
Yes, he had a real-life Pokemon, but he had to protect himself too. What if there was a time where he couldn't be helped? What would he do then?
And because he was only 10, he started off by doing exercises and workouts with Chimchar. As he gets a bit older, he will increase the intensity.
'Hm, it's going to get dark soon. I best get going.' Forest thought 'I've been thinking about going deeper into the forest to train, maybe I'll go tomorrow.'
"Igna let's go." He called out
Igna looked a bit sad to leave his Caterpie friend
"Haha, it's okay, you'll see them again tomorrow." Forest assured
A smile appeared on Chimchars face "Chimchar!!" he yelled as he ran towards Forest
The two walk home until tomorrow.

The next day
"Okay Igna, we are going to go deeper into the forest. We need to be careful, okay? We don't want to anger any scary pokemon." Forest emphasized
"Chimchar!!!"
"Okay buddy, let's go."
They slowly venture deeper and deeper into Viridian Forest looking around intentively. Although Igna is very silly most of the time, when it's time, he is very serious.
They heard a rattle in a bush ahead.

*woosh*
A wild Rattata appeared!

"Char!"
The Rattata looks at Igna and Forest from a distance away, before looking back at Igna.
*woosh!*
It made its move!
'It's fast! Must be Quick Attack.'
"Respond with Thunder Punch!"
"Char!"
As Rattata was bounding towards Igna, it noticed him powering up a move. He wanted to move out of the way, but he was already moving too fast on course with Ignas punch.
*boom!*
A small but loud clap sounded out after they made contact.
'Did he win?' Forest wondered in anticipation
But to his surprise, he didn't
What Forest saw was a Rattata with an injury on its cheek.
'Ah, so that's what must've happened, the Rattata must've moved a little bit last minute to avoid a full-on blow'
"Ratta, Rattata!" It said before sprinting away at full speed.
wild Rattata has...fled?
