Chapter 13 - L

"Master, she's activating her troops soon," Mae reported.

Khai's brows narrowed a little and he nodded his head, "Looks like she can no longer wait. Her secret's going to be out soon which may explain the haste. Nonetheless, we'll have to push our plans forward. I'll have to tie up the loose ends here soon," Khai murmured gently. His mind wandered to his academy partner who actively called him "Sick Boy" under her breath. He didn't know what to feel about it but it bothered him a little that he was bothered about it. Perhaps, he should start shedding his facade bit by bit. Just to prove a point. But what?

"I'll send you on another mission, go to the North Gates and start gathering intel," Khai commanded

"We're finally going into war with Her?" Feiya asked in eager anticipation. Khai glanced at her and she lowered her head quickly.

"Get Lory to summon the Black Death Army," Khai commanded briskly. He placed the veil over his head. Mae inwardly sighed as she knew how pretty he looked. It was a shame to always have to pretend to be this sick and pathetic. Master definitely deserves so much more than this!

All these years of humiliation and shame, she had seen him put up with the incessant teasing and bullying amongst the Princes and Her - the Queen. The Red Queen.

"Got it, Mae?" Khai murmured from his seat, his brows quirked up as he held the brush that he had been writing midair. Mae glanced at the image on the desk - a beautiful "masterpiece". She nodded - deeply aware of the message the painting had. She took it and rolled it.

Mae had one knee up and she quickly got up, "Your wish is my command."

The thunder boomed as she left his room. Mae looked up at the skies. Looks like it'll be a storm ahead...

Speaking about storms, Freia had already been actively losing weight and was almost at her ideal range. She had been sneaking these late-night runs around the academy's premise with furball. She didn't want to create any huge disturbance in her appearance. Therefore, she decided to disguise herself as close to her ugly state as much as she could.

She studied her appearance in the mirror as she applied the cucumber mask on her face. Removing it, it soon revealed luminous skin that glowed against the moonlight. It was no brainer. As soon as she cut out the harmful food and the insane appetite, her skin cleared and with her continuous range of masks and herbal tea, her entire system was beginning to flush out whatever toxins that had been in her body all these years.

Furball bounced up and down like a black orb.

However, that wasn't the main thing on her head. She finished dabbing the ugly spots on her face and she grimaced. What an irony now - she had to conceal her good looks now in order to weed out the perpetrator.

If the others really knew how she looked like, she was certain that her looks brought her a vivid 10 out of 10 - more so than Celia. She stared at her image, gloating. This face could probably revel her 21st century's face. Finally! She has found her match! And she is the owner of this face! She thought and gloated a little in a crooked toothless smirk.

Furball glanced at its beaming owner who was smiling to herself in a silly maniacal manner and thought to itself, "Who's the real narcist here!"

"Come on, Fur Fur, let's go. We'll do a slow night jog tonight. With you around, I'll always feel much safer in the forest!" Freia said and grabbed Furball by its collar unwillingly.
