~EIGHTEEN YEARS LATER~
We were summoned for a friendly fight exercise in the Helix nebula obstacle course. Valentina beat them easily. I was a proud mother. Scorpio team somehow discovered her identity. They decided to play dirty. I bashed them in seconds. I saw them the video proving how they had abandoned her. They took it to court and I showed the presiding judge and he ruled in my favor. I got a chance to ask one question. I bit down my fear and used hypnosis. I was trembling the entire time, "What is your actual intentions?" I stared as he haughtily explained how he was going to torture her to death for any information. The people of Scorpio still hates her birth mother. They curse her name daily. They have no desire to have any family ties with her. They want to hurt her for beating them and they want inside information which they can get if they hurt her. The entire time his lawyer was screaming objections. The judge had no choice but to give the Scorpios a stern warning. If they ever come within arm's length of her. They are under arrest. This a permanent restraining order.
We celebrated and I was still shaking. I recalled the day the exact moment I had stop using hypnosis. I burst into tears as Oleg gave me a hug. I could have just told him not to hurt my friends. Or made him forget me. I remember the night we were having dinner when I sensed a werewolf heading in this direction. My friends hod while I tried to figure out how to defend myself. I heard my friends talk about my hypnosis. They were sure I can convince him also. I asked him nicely to change back. He changed back but he was also delighted. I fought back and he still kept coming. Sonja poked her head out of the window. She said, "Tell him to break his own neck" I didn't think about as I said it. He struggled to disobey my order. To my horror I heard a sharp snap. He fell dead and the others took care of the body. I saw them as they were moving as though nothing had happened but I felt like my world had turned inside out. They went to sleep as I stayed awake dreading every second.
I snapped out of the memory. The others asked me to elaborate. I showed them all of my memories. They were appreciative for my honesty. Valentina gave me a hug. I melted in her arm. I noticed a man was not far away. I raked my memories and recalled he has been following me since I came to Helix nebula. The others quickly mobilize to deal with the guy. While the others dealt with them I protected my daughter. We got out of there and he was not far away. That was until someone ran him over. We left the next day. We came home a week later. Valentina asked if she could be a vampire or a werewolf. I just wanted her to have a life. She has her whole future ahead. She shouldn't be so hasty to make choices. She asked me if I was born this way. I recalled the day I changed. The pain I went through. I was floor spasming as I stared into mirror. I felt every bone break and I thought I was going to cough up blood. I recalled my sick days. I explained, "I was very sick so I used the vials to cure myself" For the last time I recalled my memories of my sick days.
The younger ones were concerned but they were reassured that I am not sick anymore. They asked me to show them my life. I showed them everything. Søren told me to reminisce later. There might be more bad guys nearby. The others had to agree. I used echolocation and found nothing. I quietly asked the others to see for themselves. They reviewed the view and Spencer noticed someone who was spying on us using reflective surfaces. So I casually decided to give him a tour. I had him follow me. Once we were alone I saw him pulled out a knife. I hid behind a hovercar. He came to find me missing. I pulled a Charlie Chaplin on him. I quietly walked back to the crowd. He found me and I allowed him to enter an elevator. I waited till it was the two of us. He lunged at me with the knife. I ducked him. He tried again. I swept his feet. He fell and cracked his head. The door opened and I was arrested till Draven showed them the bodycam footage. They asked me to forgive them.
Sawyer was kind enough to give them a piece of his mind. They waited till the other idiot was awake. He tried to make a story but Howler showed him the footage. So he confessed, "We had to face troubles during the war. While they were perfectly fine. We asked for help and they said no. But they helped others nations. Aegean, the Marxist and so on. I saw how deeply they love her. I want them to feel the pain we felt." He was taken away. The council ordered the guys to bring me home. We weren't allowed to leave for another few days. These were a bunch of bureaucratic agencies. Once the all clear was given we came to Nocny. I was taken to the vampire district. They have the majority no entry zones. I was taken to the Veil. When I had the planet terraformed I made sure to find out where everyone was going to live. Then I made sure they had a few advantages.
The Veil was nicknamed The Eternal Midnight Point. It was always nighttime for the vampire district. Just so they can move freely without experiencing any pain. I even made no can use ultraviolet light here. Their vampiric abilities would double. This was apparently breaking news. I also made sure the atmosphere around the werewolves district made any real silver corrode. Their abilities also enhance. I heard the werewolves send their thanks. I was sent to Ravenna. My gothic theme mansion on top of the hill. The three storey house painted all black. With gargoyles on the iron gates. The night blooming flowers leading the path to the porch. After taking five steps I was on was greeted by my maid Electra. She was a steampunk fan. She wore an eccentric looking pair of goggles. A white dress, an ankle length brown skirt. Her chestnut hair was tied in a messy bun. I was lead to the dimly lit corridor. The black flooring was complimented with neon green carpet and green lighting.
The entrance to the living room had a sheer curtain instead of a door. I sa a spacious with a hole cut in the middle of room. I saw a few steps were placed to help get in. There was a circular couch waiting. I imagined king Arthur and the knights of round table. Navy blue was splashed here and there to compliment the black background. The fireplace was large enough to fit Seymour. He is eight feet tall. Stainglass windows filled one whole wall. The stairs were all spiral and each step opened like a drawer for storage. I went to the second floor while the others made themselves at home on the first. Double doors were all black and had Celtic style carvings. The handle was made from pure emerald. There was a copper knocker. It was shaped like a bat. The inside was cozy.
Everything was either black or red. The bed slightly lower than I prefer but I let that slide. The room was well lit. There was a small coffee table on either end. There was a carved dresser and a lovely Chifforobe was standing next to a full length mirror. I walked through another door and I was in the bathroom. The sink and the tub was made from a single lapis lazuli. The floor was made from a gray marble with gold flakes. The faucet was made from gold. I needed some air. The balcony was big enough to put a mattres. There were two chairs and a small table. The edge of the balcony had flowers. Kai insisted I come inside. So I went to use the indoor pool instead. The vampires got to see my house. Many approved. A few were awed. I took several laps. My butler came and introduced him as Ty Sterlings. He and Electra has been taking care of my house for the past century. I thanked them as he handed me a towel.
A quick refreshing shower and a change of clothes later I was on the third floor. It was an open space but was covered with mosquito netting. I asked everyone if we those disasters with us. I was assured that no one brought them over. The room was empty. I joked about a sniper making themselves at home here. I was actually hoping to see the observatory where I had a telescope to watch the stars. He took me to the tower which I had to admit sounded cool. The tower was filled with bats. Roland screamed in terror. I told him to calm. The bats were welcoming. They clung to my sleeves and stared as though I was late. I apologized as I walked over to the modest sized telescope. I took a seat and take a gander. The view was beautiful. The bats grew anxious so I opened a window. They flew and I joined them. I levitated for a bit. I took a breath and became a bunch of bats. I flew with them for an hour. The entire time Oleg was telling me to come inside. I finally caved and went in.
Then I decided to put on a disguise and go for a walk. I chose my neighbor's face. She was a kind old lady who loved me dearly. She would defend me from bullies. I felt very lonely after she passed away. But I wanted to be me so I chose me instead. I saw bats everywhere. The locals didn't seem to care. They nod to greet me as I walked by. I kept walking till I was in front of the park. I saw a few people flying kites. So I asked permission to join in. They kindly lend me one and proceeded to give me lessons. I walked to the chess club where I was taught a few moves. The next stop was painting. It was a relaxing moment as I painted the scenery from memory. But I painted it in black and gray. A blurry just for the fun of it. The other artists approved the aesthetics and I moved on to music. I saw few were practicing cello, violin and flute. Beyond that was fencing. I had a few violin lessons when I was little but that came to end when I started my meds.
