All these ions being the Commander of 85 legions in hell, and he had never stopped to appreciate things ike the spectrum of human emotions that were buried deep within the recesses of his mind. It felt strange to him to feel this intensely. It was only when he was with Beatrice did his feelings feel almost human. Anyone or anything else he felt cold. He felt detached.
He never wondered why. He chalked it up to who he was, but standing here now with the emotions of a mortal man coursing through him, he knew it was because their connection was special. For once in his existence he did not have a plan, or control of a situation. He was once again at the mercy of the Universe.
