Chapter 2 - The Opening of the Adventurer's Guild & the Rush of Goblins Into the Kingdom

"I would like to register my company here," Dorian smiled at the royal official on duty. "Hmm, what kind of company do you want to create? Please give a brief explanation of what you will do with your company." Without further ado, Dorian replied, "My company will be called the Adventurer's Guild. They will register adventurers, undertake quests requested by others, provide a bar for adventurers tired from quests, and all crimes committed or received by adventurers will be covered by our guild."

"Hmm? That's quite an interesting and novel idea for the kingdom. Wait a moment, I will summon a royal representative to meet you." Stunned by Dorian's words, the official immediately summoned the royal representative. The royal representative quickly met Dorian and said, "Sir, I can agree to your proposal, but are you and your guild trustworthy?"

"Maybe right now I can't convince you but, I dare to guarantee that my guild can help this kingdom" "... okay your proposal can be accepted, you need to pay money to the kingdom of 100 gold coins / month" said the kingdom's envoy, thinking and considering for 2 minutes Dorian agreed to the proposal given to him quickly all the files had been sorted out, Dorian returned to his guild building "ding congratulations to the host for completing the mission, the reward has been sent to the host's inventory, the system market is now unlocked" hearing the system's voice Dorian smiled broadly, took out an object that only looked like a stick stuck in a stone with a pure white crystal on top of it, Dorian decided to put it next to the counter

"hmm how do I use this tester, do I just need to touch the crystal? maybe so" while talking Dorian touched the crystal then the crystal emitted 7 different lights red, blue, green, purple, brown, light and dark. When the light in the room faded you could see Dorian standing there and just staring like an idiot. Suddenly, the system's voice woke him up, "Ding! Congratulations to the host for completing the secret mission "Earn the qualifications to become a mage." You've received 1 magic rifle, 1 mana channel cleansing pill, 5 "cooking recipe" pick tickets, 5 random magic skill tickets, and 1 rack full of weapons and survival equipment."

Hearing this, Dorian read the description of the rewards.

- 1 magic rifle = A rifle that uses mana instead of bullets (1 mana per magazine, 1 magazine contains 45 bullets).

- 1 mana channel cleansing pill = No need to worry about mana control. Simply by consuming this pill, you will have full control over your mana movement and increase your mana reserves.

- 5 food recipe pick tickets = Choose a recipe from your world with ingredients tailored to the ingredients available in your current world.

- Randomly obtain a magic skill of quality (C - SSS).

- 1 rack full of weapons and survival gear = how can a guild owner serve his customers if he doesn't have the necessary items? With this, you get 10 stock items of weapons and survival gear each, which can be sold or rented.

Laughing out loud, "HAHAHAHAHAHA, it seems I can still taste the cuisine of that world, and also, in my current condition, I need mana and control over it as soon as possible, so first, let's try this pill." Holding the pure white pill in his hand, Dorian immediately put it in his mouth and digested it. He sat in the lotus position, focusing on the mana surging through his body.

After a few moments, Dorian opened his eyes and felt power surge within him. He uttered "status." Oh yes, while waiting for the building to be built, Dorian discovered he could see his own and others' statuses simply by uttering "status" and "inspect."

Feeling refreshed, Dorian grabbed his rifle, which resembled an M4A1, and went outside for some fresh air. He headed for the gate. Upon arrival, he saw numerous goblins wearing tattered clothing and nearly broken weapons, with a giant goblin sitting on a throne, whom he assumed was their leader.

"This is a disaster. I must immediately ring the bell and inform the royal troops," said a guard. But before he could move from his position, he saw an arrow swooping towards him. As he closed his eyes, waiting for the sharp pain, he heard a voice, "Report this to your superiors immediately, and I will guard this gate for a while."

He simply nodded and immediately ran towards the kingdom to report to the knight commander and the king. Wearing sunglasses, Dorian, who had come out of nowhere, said, "It's showtime."

FLASHBACK

Previously, Dorian received a mission from the system.

[Ding: Complete the mission 'Hold off the goblins at the main gate']

Failure: The gate is breached, half the population is dead. Mission reward: Obtain an epic-grade sword and the Great Sword Master skill. Requirements: Hold off the goblins for 1 hour or more, kill ¼ or more of the goblin army.

Without further ado, Dorian immediately ran towards the horde of goblins, greeted with high enthusiasm, peppered with killing intent. Dorian leaped into the air and shot the nearest goblin. Landing in the middle of the crowd, Dorian immediately shot the surrounding goblins. He imbued his weapon with scorching flames and fired at several goblin archers behind the cannon fodder.

Seeing one goblin jump and try to pounce on him, Dorian imbued his fist with lightning magic, hitting the goblin's lower jaw and shouting, "Eat this, you piece of shit."

Watching the goblin fly away, Dorian still managed to give a thumbs up '👍' and say, "Woohoo, home run baby."

Unbeknownst to him, 50 minutes had passed on the battlefield. Goblin corpses were scattered all around, and burnt, frozen, and electrified craters appeared on the battlefield. Slowly, Dorian, who had maintained a high-intensity fight, began to feel exhausted from the constant energy expenditure.

Seeing this, the goblin king immediately ordered his subordinates to retreat, saying that he would go alone to confront this audacious and despicable human.

In goblin language, the king said, "Submit to me, human. If you wish, I can give you anything you desire."

But Dorian simply replied, "Bwa bwa bwa bwa, what are you saying, bastard? Fight me!" and fired a barrage of bullets imbued with ice magic to disrupt the goblin king's mobility.

Unprepared for Dorian's surprise attack, the goblin king could only passively defend for a few moments. Then, seeing a hole in his defense, he immediately brought his giant axe down on Dorian.

"Damn it!" He tried to dodge, but he slipped on the goblin blood on the ground and the thin soles of his boots, hearing a loud "keeengggg" sound.

"Hehehe, boy, you did a great job here. Thanks for your hard work. Leave it to me from here." An uncle in black armor and a large white sword used it to fight the Goblin King's giant axe.

At that moment, the system's voice echoed in Dorian's mind once again.

"Ding, congratulations to the host for completing the task. Receive the reward: Epic Sword = Dual Sword Aegim, and Great Sword Master skill."

"Old man, please continue from here. I'm a little tired after the fight. I'll—" Before he could finish his sentence, Dorian collapsed from physical and mental exhaustion.
