Chapter 6 - Profitable Business & First Quest

"So, what kind of work are you willing to entrust to a small business like my adventurer's guild?" Dorian dropped his playful attitude and asked Edward earnestly.

"So, actually, our Lord Dorian is what our own people call a terrorist?" Edward told Dorian the truth without hesitation.

Dorian looked Edward up and down, met his eyes, and then smiled indifferently.

"Terrorists? Seeing you now reminds me of something. Aaah, you're the elite revolutionary soldiers from the Ghorzake kingdom in the west, aren't you?"

Dorian remembered reading a book about the struggle of the first prince of the Ghorzake kingdom, who wanted to change the dictatorial government of his father, the ruler of Ghorzake, for something better.

In this case, the first prince ultimately led an army he had formed and trained himself, the first prince's elite army, nicknamed the "Harbringer of Serenity."

Together with his younger brother, the second prince, the two employed guerrilla tactics and depleted the ruler's supplies. This tactic was highly successful, even leading to the victory of Nora, the first prince.

But at this most crucial moment, his younger brother, who had always been as calm as the sea, began to be tossed about in chaos like a storm at sea. The second prince hired assassins from the "Shadow Hand" association to kill Nora.

According to what was written in the book, Nora was ultimately killed by being burned to death in her mansion hiding on the city's outskirts, while the HOS troops managed to escape. This left the second prince as the new ruler, just as corrupt as his father.

"Half true. The First Prince isn't dead, but he's in a very weak state. As expected of an adventurer's guild owner. Yes, we are the HoS, the sword of harmony and silence under the leadership of the First Prince." Edward stood up and proudly brandished his sword into the air.

Edward released an aura and light filled with the sharpness of his blade. A very proud and confident aura radiated from Edward, completely abandoning his usual careless image.

"So, Edward, what do you want from a young man like me?" Dorian asked, releasing a bit of his own aura to bring Edward back to his senses.

Edward, regaining his senses, apologized for his carelessness and then revealed his true intentions.

"So, Sir Dorian, we have been tasked by the Prince to purchase some curse-breaking potions."

"Hmm, curse-breaking potions, yes. I do have some in our inventory. But before we discuss the items, may I ask how much money you have?"

Edward tossed an item towards Dorian. "Although we're a little short on funds, we're willing to trade this artifact for a potion worth its price." that's what you think, Mr. Dorian"

Name : Dragon's spell book [Uncomplete]

Rarity : Epic [Legendary/ jika buku ini dalam keadaan komplit]

Price : 25.000Gold

Description: A sacred book containing knowledge of dragon magic beyond the realm of mortals. Simply reading it can make even the most untalented wizard shine. (A complete book can be used to obtain the [Legendary | Draconic Wizard] job description, and an incomplete book can be used to exchange for the [Epic | Dragon Priest] job description through the job description journal.)

After a brief assessment, Dorian carefully placed the book on the tray on the counter and walked back.

Adjusting the ladder so that it was level and precise, he climbed the ladder to reach the fourth shelf from the right. He took a small vial of golden potion. He descended the ladder and ran back to Ian, who was staring at the demon king's sword.

"Ah, sorry, this thing is too powerful for you, young man. Look at the others." He then picked up the jet-black potion beside the sword. He then walked back to the counter,

taking out a potion placed in a small flask. Dorian then placed it in front of Edward.

"Master Edward, after a very thorough assessment, I declare that this artifact you brought is incomplete!" Edward gasped.

"But how can this be? This is our royal artifact. How could it be incomplete?" Dorian snapped his fingers before continuing.

"Although this item is incomplete, its rarity is still epic, which makes it worth around 25,000 gold." Dorian smiled.

Edward was shocked. "That much?! Then, Mr. Dorian, what can I accept in exchange?"

"What I'm offering you is the fairest deal, Mr. Edward. So, I'm offering you one of the three main items and 15 high-grade healing potions as a side item."

"WOW, THAT'S SO MUCH!" Anastasya, who had been chained up by her friends, screamed in disbelief. "Is this really Mr. Dorian?"

Dorian simply smiled and nodded. "The first item I offer is the [Breacher] potion, a potion typically used to penetrate a mental barrier so the drinker can be quickly healed by a healer.

The second is [Maledictus Ruptor], usually used to neutralize curses that limit the victim's abilities.

And finally, [Revitalization] isn't really a curse breaker; it's more about diluting everything the drinker has received, both positive and negative, back to its original state, returning it to its purest state, as pure as milk... So, Mr. Ed, which one would you choose?"

Edward swallowed hard, as the choice before him wasn't easy. He was faced with three equally powerful potions... This made Edward feel overwhelmed, but he ultimately decided on his choice.

"Very well, Mr. Dorian, I have decided that I will take the [Maledictus Ruptor] and the fifteen healing potions."

Dorian smiled, handed over the potions, then stood up and shook Edward's hand. "With that, our agreement is finalized, and this concludes our deal."

Edward looked at the items he received with a relieved smile. "Wow, what a relief. Thank you, Mr. Dorian. This won't be our last business... You can look forward to our next visit."

Dorian escorted his five guests to the front door of the building and politely bid them farewell. This marked the end of a long and tiring day.

After Dorian cleaned up the area around the Adventurer's Guild building and closed everything except the main hall, he went up to the third floor of the main hall.

He decided to go to bed, as he still needed to research his grimoire the next morning. The best chance he could get was that he could somehow repair the magic book, or just sell it to someone like Walter

The next morning, Dorian lifted the enchantments he had placed around his Adventurer's Guild.

Dorian went to the side hall and sat down at the counter, this time focusing on studying the book.

He flipped through the first pages to find several things.

After careful research, Dorian assumed that although the book was completely undamaged, some of the pages contained incomplete information.

Like ink that had worn off over time. "Hmm, some ink is needed to complete this book?"

Adjusting his research glasses, Dorian muttered, "What kind of ink does this book require? Is regular ink possible to complete it, or do we need a special ink with a high mana concentration?"

"Is the [Writer] job also needed to update this book? Huh, interesting..." Dorian closed the book and placed it alongside the rest of the grimoires.

Just as he was about to use his new sword, Dorian heard a loud noise outside.

"MOVE OUT OF THE WAY! MAKE WAY FOR THE ROYAL MESSENGER!" Dorian heard that a royal messenger, who was apparently an important figure, was standing near the Adventurer's Guild.

When Dorian took the time to walk outside, he saw an old man walking respectfully carrying a letter, but the direction he was headed was none other than the Adventurer's Guild.

"I am a royal envoy, greeting Lord Dorian. I am here to deliver an order to Lord Dorian, written by the royal general, General Flores." The messenger bowed to Dorian and then delivered the general's message.

It turned out the letter contained the general's first special mission for the Adventurer's Guild.

This was to map the outer reaches of the Chaos Forest, which lies on the edge of the continent. It stretches all the way to the coast and borders directly with the Black Phoenix Kingdom.

At the request of His Majesty the King, General Flores stated that this expedition was solely intended to map the outskirts of the Chaos Forest to detect monster nests and anything unusual about this outlying area.

Dorian, hearing this, agreed to the king and general's request. He then decided to send the king's envoy off, of course, with a bottle of 149-year-old wine for the general to enjoy.

Dorian finally turned and entered the Main Hall to post the Adventurer's Guild's first quest on the bulletin board.
