Scarlett Xavier listened to his words and said, "I don't know if I'm in a good mood or not, but it's so cold I might just die. Do you know what the temperature is right now?"
"Cold?" he said, "Well, let me see."
As he spoke, he grabbed her hand.
Scarlett's palm was warm.
She looked at Julian Rhodes's long fingers holding her hand and said, "It's not cold now. But it was freezing when we were going out! Do you see anyone else running?"
Julian said, "It's perfect, just the two of us."
He held her hand and didn't let go.
While holding her hand, he kept staring at her.
Scarlett said, "Why are you looking at me?"
"What on earth has been going on these days? You've been giving me mixed signals. Even if you don't tell me, I won't be able to figure it out."
Hearing him say "mixed signals," Scarlett reflected on herself.
She was silent for two seconds.
