Scarlett Xavier glanced at Julian Rhodes, "You told me to say this. I'm telling you, with your attitude, only I can tolerate you. I haven't even complained about you, and yet your family dislikes me. Actually, I don't care much about their opinion. But I don't like people who clearly don't like me yet pretend to be so nice on the surface. It's too hypocritical."
"..." Scarlett's words rendered Julian silent.
Scarlett looked at him and asked, "Why aren't you speaking? Weren't you quite talkative just now?"
Julian gazed at her, sighed, and said, "You say mom dislikes your background… I can't deny that. This world is supposedly fair, but class distinctions are starkly obvious. How many actresses have you seen who, even after getting pregnant and scheming, still can't marry into a wealthy family?"
Scarlett said, "Yeah! You all think you're so noble. That's why I don't want to marry you. Why should I step into a world where I don't belong, only to be laughed at like a clown?"
