Chapter 2 - Chapter 1(part 2)

The first story happened when he was seventeen years old.

That year, the State of Xian Le was holding a grand Offering of Gods.

(Even though this tradition has actually been ignored for several centuries, you can still imagine and read how magnificent this celebration was.)

The day of offerings to the Gods, at The God of War Parade

Both sides of the main road were filled with a sea of people. The nobles sat on high buildings while chatting with each other smiles on their faces, while the royal guards were cleaning the streets with amazing and high quality archery. The young woman danced beautifully and energetically while their snow-white hands scattered rose petals that filled the sky as far as the eye could see. It made people unable to decide which was more beautiful, the women or the roses. Beautiful music played from the golden chariot; a voice echoed throughout the country, behind the guards who were given the honorary title of marching white horses with golden restraints as they were walking a magnificent stage.

Sitting magnificently on the high majestic stage, the warlord was hailed.

(During the celebration, the God of War will be asked to wear a golden mask, wear beautiful clothing, and hold a sword in hand. He had to play the role of the knight who wiped out demons - the Heavenly Emperor God of War Jun Wu.)

Being chosen as the God of War is exalted as well as receiving the highest award, the chosen one must pass a very difficult selection beforehand. This year the chosen person is His Highness the Prince. The whole city was sure that he would become an extraordinary God of War.

However, something unexpected happened that day.

Honorable bodyguards in the middle of the third round of going around the city walls, passed by a side with a high wall.

At that moment, the god of war who was standing on the luxurious stage was just about to swing his deadly sword at the devil.

This was the most awaited scene, the people on both sides of the road were very excited. People on the city walls also became more rowdy then they started fighting over one another to see, pushing and pushing each other.

At that moment a child fell from the tower of the city gate.

Shouts that deafened the ears and pierced the sky were heard. Everyone thought that the child would fall right in the path of the God of War, but the Prince raised his head and then sprang up and caught the child.

People only caught a glimpse of a white figure resembling a bird across the sky until the Prince landed safely with the child. His golden mask lay on the ground showing a young handsome face that was no longer hidden behind it.

The people cheered but the elders from the kingdom became dizzy.

They never thought a mistake like this could have ever happened.

It was a bad sign! a very bad sign!

Every round made around the imperial city symbolized a prayer for one year of peace and prosperity for the state. Now that it was disrupted wouldn't it be the same as causing a disaster?!

The ministers were so worried, that they might lose their hair. After contemplating the past and day's events, which could affect the future of the country. They called the Prince and with much thought suggested, "Your Honor, can you say you will face the wall for a whole month to show your remorse? You don't have to really do it, just a gesture to show intention would be enough."

The Prince smiled before answering, "there's no need." He explained his thoughts, "Saving someone is not a bad thing. Why would Heaven punish me for doing the right thing?"

Ministers, "... and what if Heaven really blames you?"

The Prince, "Then Heaven is the one who did something wrong! Why should an innocent person have to apologize to the person who made a mistake?"

Ministers, "..."

Yes, the Prince was indeed someone like this.

There was nothing he couldn't do because he had never met a person who didn't love him. He was always right and always loved by the world.

The ministers felt hurt deep within as they thought, "what do you know?!"

However, it was not possible for them to say anything more, they would not dare to do it. His Majesty wouldn't have listened to them.
