Three weeks later
"I think we need to do something about this new company, their investing in all of our competitors." A young man with red hair stood from his chair, He was the youngest in the room. The long table sat many of Lex's executives, old business partners his father had made long before he had taken over LuthorCorp. Lex sat at the had of the table his chin resting in his hand, there was something else on his mind.
"Tess was gone," no matter what he tried he couldn't get in contact with her. Brainy was searching cctv footage all over metropolis, last she was seen was entering the hospital alongside Lana. Had Checkpoint called her back, was Amanda Waller involved, lex wasn't sure but he knew if she didn't wish to be found there was no point in looking for her.
"Lachlan," Lex called out looking at the young man, "Look more into this InterCorp, find out who's pulling their strings."
"Yes, Mr.Luthor," the young man said a determined look appearing on his face.
"Meeting adjourned," Lex said standing from his seat.
Lex stood from his seat gripping the ipod containing Braniac 2.0 in his hand.

"Mr. Luthor." a voice called out.
"Mr.Luthor," it was louder this time, shaking his head Lex's vision came into focus he was in the police station in some captain's office. "I'm sorry but, preliminary results suggest that both your wife and child were within the vehicle they didn't."
"Survive, an explosion like that," It was impossible, Lex knew that much he had been at the scene of the explosion. One second Lana was climbing into the car after placing Lillian in the backseat the next it was flames, heat, destruction. They couldn't have survived, they were gone. He never knew he could love something so much, the whole in his body screamed for something to fill it. But they were gone, and now he had no one.
"Where's Lana?" Lex asked looking down at B2.
[Her and the baby seem to be travelling, likely stopping point is Chloe's Sullivan's apartment.]
Lex nodded, it may seem cold but he had placed a tracker on Lillian, this world was a dangerous place he needed to be sure that he could locate her at any moment. What a better way to do so than have B2 handle it, he was currently the most advanced piece of technology this world had ever seen.

Another one? Lex raised an eyebrow at that, it had been occurring more and more often as of late. Luckily B2 seemed capable of destroying the infiltrators quick enough. "Take care of it," he said placing B2 back in his pocket.
Grabbing his briefcase he let out a sigh, it was finally time to head home. Smallville wasn't exactly a very large place, Lex stared out at the corn fields as the car drove down all to familiar roads. That was when he heard it, a soft buzzing, raising an eyebrow he looked around the car, resting in between the console was a phone. Only it wasn't the drivers reaching over he picked it up slowly pressing answer bringing the phone to his ear.
"Hello, Mr.Luthor," It was a familiar voice and it only took Lex a few seconds to remember where he had last heard it. It was the tunnels, the explosions beneath the city, the architech, the one behind the phone.
"What do you want?" Lex asked narrowing his eyes at the phone.
"It's been quite some time since our last run in, the good times," the voice was slow, harrowing, and a tad bit annoying.
"Get to the point!" Lex said cutting him off.
"Fine, i'll make it short, you cherish the Luthor Legacy but LuthorCorp isn't the chain around your neck." The voice paused, "It's those you love, wonder how you'd react if they were no longer here."
Silence was all Lex heard as the call ended. His grip tightening on the device in his hand, "Take me Chloe Sullivan's house, speed, your job depends on it." His anger spiked as stared into the soul of the driver through the rearview mirror.
Picking the phone back up, he dialed Lana's number. It rang and his patience began to grow thin as her voice appeared on the phone only for it to be sound of her voicemail greeting. Clicking his tongue he dialed again as the car picked up speed. He wasn't sure how many times he called before she finally picked up. He could already see the sign of all too familiar buildings as he began to speak.
"Lana, are you still with Chloe?" He asked.
"I'm putting LIlian in the car right now, what's wrong Lex?" Her voice was calm, he could practically see in his mind Lillian's face as lana tightened the seatbelt around her carseat.
"You need to go back inside, i'll be there in 2 minutes." Lex responded hoping she would listen.
"Lex, we're heading back to the mansion there's no reason for you to come here," He heard the car door slam, looking up at the driver he whispered how long.
"We're pulling up right now Mr.Luthor," The car swerved as he pulled into the street in front of the Talon. He could see Lana, sitting in the front seat, she seemed focused as took one last glance at the back seat before her hand seemed to start the car.
"I see you," Lex said seeing as her eyebrows rose before she looked up a smile appearing on her face as she spotted him. Then it was a blur, a truck carrying supplies for the coffee shop drove by and Lex heard her voice.
"Lex-" then an explosion, one that shook his core. As the Truck moved away what remained was Lana's mangled jeep. Getting out of the car, his limbs felt heavy, they were in that car. One second they were fine the next.
"Mr.Luthor you need to get back in the car," His driver reached for him but Lex slapped his hand away.
"LANA!" He called out moving towards the jeep, the heat searing his skin, his eyes watering from the flames. "Lillian!" he muttered as he fell to his knees. They were gone.
