After checking their weapons, they suddenly realized that they had new bodies. They hadn't noticed it at first because their minds were preoccupied with the place and the system mall. Canary was the first one to remember, and she pulled out an emergency lamp from their space to illuminate the dimly lit warehouse.
As the lamp flickered to life, they gazed at each other in awe. "Wow, you're stunning!" Canary exclaimed, her eyes wide with amazement. Violet and Sapphire shared the same thought - they were breathtakingly beautiful.
"It's an understatement to say that we're beautiful," Violet said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Our beauty is otherworldly!"
Sapphire nodded in agreement, her eyes scanning their reflections. "This must be what the system meant by 'the best bodies'," Canary said, her brow furrowed in concern. "But will our beauty help us, or will it make things worse in this...this place?"
Violet chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I never thought I'd say this, but Sapphire, you look like a supermodel! And Canary, you're a total transformation - from a tadpole to a fairy!"
Sapphire snorted, tossing an empty can on the ground. "You're one to talk, Violet! You're the one who's gone from King Kong to an elegant princess. That aura, that skin...it's like you're a completely different person."
Violet grinned, unfazed. "Hey, I'm just stating facts. And the same goes for you, Sapphire. You're like a rare gem - pure, elegant, and stunning. I don't think any surgeon could've achieved this, even with a hundred tries."
Canary's headache suddenly intensified as she watched her sisters bicker back and forth. "Enough, you two," she said, rubbing her temples. "If you keep arguing, the zombies will definitely make a meal out of those beautiful bodies of yours."
Violet and Sapphire rolled their eyes at each other, but subsided. Canary couldn't help but think that the system had given them extraordinary bodies, and judging by their reactions, her own new body was likely top-notch as well. She had no idea what she looked like, but she suspected that it was flawless - and that was the problem. Perfect beauty wasn't exactly realistic or normal, and she wondered what secrets or problems their new bodies might hold.
"Having this kind of beauty is a double-edged sword," Canary said, her brow furrowed in concern. "We can use it as a trap, but it will also attract unwanted attention. Many people will covet our beauty, and that will be trouble. And I don't think this type of beauty is something a normal human being can have, so there's something wrong with our current bodies."
Canary's new body was that of a girl with a cold, elegant temperament, her long silvery hair and pink eyes giving her an otherworldly beauty. Sapphire, on the other hand, was a seductress, her black hair and purple eyes exuding sexiness and charm. One look from her could hook your soul.
As for Violet, her new body was just as stunning, but Canary couldn't help but wonder what secrets lay beneath their flawless exteriors. Violet's appearance was a stark contrast to her personality - she looked like an angel, with pink curly hair and green eyes that sparkled with innocence. She seemed sweet and gentle, like a little fairy in the forest, which was far from her hot-tempered and adventurous nature.
Sapphire chuckled, remembering how Violet used to punch boys who harassed her or looked down on girls. "Female King Kong" was a fitting nickname, given her bold and fearless attitude.
Canary's thoughts were interrupted by the mechanical voice of 01, the mini system.
"Just call me 01," its tone devoid of emotion.
Canary wondered about the significance of the name, suspecting that Zero, the cotton ball system, had a fondness for numbers. "Do you know anything about our current identity?" Canary asked, curiosity getting the better of her.
"Yes," 01 replied. "Do you want to know your current bodies' information?"
"Yes," Canary responded, eager to learn more.
01 began to explain, revealing that their bodies were experimental objects, created by a research laboratory twenty years ago. The lab had abducted newborn babies, experimenting on them in an attempt to create powerful human beings.
"All of your bodies are mutated," 01 said. "However, they're not that different from normal human beings. They're stronger and more resistant to disease, and they're immune to the zombie virus and some poisons."
Canary's eyes widened as she realized that Zero had been planning this for a long time, saving the babies and selecting the best bodies for them to possess.
"That means we have no special abilities," Canary said, a hint of disappointment in her voice.
01's response was matter-of-fact. "Your bodies are not that different from normal human beings, but they're enhanced. Boss Zero removed the raging powers in those babies to ensure their survival. They're lifeless without souls, making them perfect vessels for possession."
Canary nodded, accepting the information. Being beautiful and stronger than normal humans was a good start, but she wondered what lay ahead.
01's response was cryptic, leaving them wondering about their abilities. "It's not that there's no abilities, but it's just weak. But what type of abilities you have, that can't be said. My boss didn't let me tell you. My boss said, you can figure it out yourself."
Canary's curiosity was piqued, but she decided to table the discussion for now. "Forget about it for the meantime, we haven't checked our space yet."
Violet's eyes sparkled with excitement. "I'm really curious about what type of abilities we have. I hope I can have a powerful attack ability."
The three sisters entered their space for the first time, taking in the small house and well. The lack of plants and greenery was a disappointment, but they were grateful for the space nonetheless.
Sapphire complained, "I thought I'd see a space with trees and flowers."
Violet checked the well, reporting that the water was clean and sweet-tasting. "It's not a spiritual spring like in novels, but it's a good start."
Canary suggested they eat and organize their belongings before starting to plant vegetables and fruit seeds. "We should start practicing killing zombies too. We only have 50 days before the safe circle moves again."
As they sat down to eat, Canary handed out burgers, grateful that Sapphire had brought ready-to-eat food. The sisters dug in, energizing themselves for the tasks ahead.
