Elegy of Futility and Despair

In the aftermath of a failed peace agreement in Odessa where Ukrainian President Dmytro Melnyk agreed to cede 2/4 of Ukraine's territory to Russia, NATO forces launch a drone strike that kills both presidents and UN mediators. Lieutenant Nikolai Rozhdestvensky survives the attack and witnesses the event spiral into global nuclear war. The assassination triggers a cascade of conflicts: Russia declares war on NATO and attacks Alaska; China reunifies with Taiwan amid the chaos; and the US finds itself fighting on multiple fronts. As tensions escalate, nuclear weapons are deployed. Nikolai is reassigned to escort civilians to bunkers in Sevastopol, which has been seized by Russian religious mutineers called the Order of Saint Cyril. During the evacuation mission, Nikolai's team fights off drone swarms and deals with the psychological trauma affecting Sergeant Olena Khmelnytsky, a soldier broken by previous combat at Bakhmut. They successfully reach Sevastopol's fortifications, but despite attempts to intercept incoming missiles with S-500 defense systems, six nuclear warheads strike Crimean cities, killing 1.4 million people. Nikolai is vaporized in the blast. In an inexplicable twist, Nikolai's consciousness survives and reconstructs in what appears to be an otherworldly Gothic cathedral decorated with Haemanthus flowers. A mysterious robed woman performs a disturbing liturgical hymn. When one of four other "newcomers" asks a question, the woman brutally mutilates him though he regenerates and manipulates his memory. She then welcomes them as "venerable heroes" at the beginning of their "fantasy," suggesting they've been transported to another world or dimension where death may not be permanent.

Fate's Rapture

In a world where every story ever written collides fantasy kingdoms, futuristic cities, steampunk worlds, and modern realities the line between fiction and existence is shattered. The Narrator, a malevolent being claiming to be both Author and God, has rewritten reality itself into a twisted game of survival. Heroes, antiheroes, villains, and legends from every genre are forced into a brutal arena where alliances and betrayals determine their fate. From a blind assassin who moves like a ghost to a young mecha pilot wielding unmatched ingenuity, and even a reincarnated warrior cursed to repeat their battles, the protagonists span every imaginable realm. Yet no amount of power or skill can rival the Narrator’s omnipotent control or the devastating truth that they are nothing more than fictional pawns. As alliances crumble and the bodies pile up, Yara a lone survivor left broken by the sacrifices of her new comrades must rise as the unlikely beacon of hope. But in a game where even gods are mere puppets, can Yara defy the very hands that write her story? Author here, you may wonder why isn't there any chapters being published? well.. because I'll be announcing that this book will be on a long term hiatus, maybe even discontinued. The reason why, because I actually never had a chance to have future chapter boarding for each one, I straight up rushed the writing, because of this I'm unsatisfied with the quality, I'm sorry. I've decided to just focus on two books long ago, as i plan to rework this book significantly at a later date (the characters will stay the same) and I'll announce when it'll come back once when my main book is nearing its end and my second book is halfway done, or soon. My intentions for this book future is reworking it's chapters properly, and actually planning. I experimented with some writing styles that ultimately didn't suit the story, because of how authors use these types of writing so I figured I'd wanted to try it aswell.. turned out pretty "horrible." No offense to any authors. And I apologize if this affected your reading experience. SPOILER: This book is connected to my main series. The connection will be revealed in an epilogue to "Life of a Mangaka!" Consider this story the sequel of my main series, Life of a mangaka is merely a prequel. Thanks for everything in this book, I'm surprised we got this far with 30 thousand views. but as always I'd doubt no one reads this. — Morora.

THE CURSED BOOK

What began as curiosity became a curse. When four friends—Victor, Cynthia, Michael, and Mary—discover a forbidden book marked with an ancient symbol that should never be read aloud, out of curiosity they unknowingly awaken a demon of hell, an entity who was bound to the book. The entity does not attack at once. Instead, it watches, listens and marks. As unexplained illusions, shadows, and whispers escalate into physical torment, the friends seek help from Father Lucas, a Catholic priest who was shown in a dream something about a book, he recognizes the book at first glance as a vessel bound to a cunning demon, one that feeds on fear, guilt, and love. Once its name is spoken, the demon claims all who hear it as witnesses, carving its mark into their flesh. Mary becomes the first battleground. Though rescued from an early possession, something in her is changed. The demon lingers around, waiting, learning her emotions—especially her love for Michael. As the entity strengthens its grip, the friends realize the horror is not selective as it applies to all of them. It isolates them, stalks them through places of safety, and hides its violence behind illusions invisible to everyone else. In the sterile halls of a hospital meant to heal, reality fractures. Victor is hunted by an inhuman figure wearing the face of mercy.  Cynthia is watched by people who should not exist. Michael fights to keep Mary anchored to herself as possession returns—stronger, crueler, and more intimate. The demon’s purpose becomes clear: love is not a weakness—it is the ritual. As romance blossoms under pressure—Victor and Cynthia finding refuge in each other, Michael refuses to abandon Mary even as she becomes a vessel he believes there's a way to save her. It kills not randomly, but meaningfully, forcing impossible choices and tearing love apart in blood and guilt. Each time the book writes a story, reality obeys.  And when it finally acts, it does not choose the weakest among them. It chooses the one they love most.
