When the plane landed, Mr. Su Bai slightly turned his head to look out the window at the Dali Airport, perched atop a small hill—a very small airport, far less majestic than those in other major Chinese cities, but it seemed to perfectly capture the essence and charm of Dali, just right.
He lowered his head to look at Lucky lying on his lap, Mr. Su Bai reached out and rubbed its head, Lucky had been "head-patted" countless times by Mr. Su Bai recently. Initially, Lucky resisted, but seeing resistance was futile, it could only let it happen. However, every time Mr. Su Bai treated it like a pet cat, Lucky's eyes always seemed helpless.
Mr. Su Bai was well aware that regardless of whether Lucky indicated anything, this fellow, even if not a demon but a house cat in this life, would probably be the same.
