Guangzhou is a very trendy city, "trendy" as in fashionable, and "trendy" as in humid;
Especially as of late, the sky has been mostly overcast, with a suffocating atmosphere constantly enveloping the city. It starts raining intermittently, then ends just as quickly, in a never-ending cycle. People living here have grown accustomed to it, but drivers often can't help but complain about the climate to passengers from out of town.
In the Yuexiu District, there's a Beijing Road, which used to be an old street but is now a bustling commercial pedestrian street. High-end brand outlets shine alongside small clay pot rice restaurants across from each other, with neither outshining the other.
A man stood at the side of the street, smoking. He was wearing a red short-sleeved shirt and black shorts. While most people in other parts of China still needed a coat to go out, such attire had already become the norm for the citizens of Guangzhou.
