Two years later, Elise could tell which Graymoor problem had reached her desk by the thickness of the folder.
Territory disputes were usually thick. Pack complaints were thinner but louder. Anything involving the county recorder's office came with enough paper to kill a tree.
She set the folder in front of her and looked across the desk at Jacob.
"You built the fence in the wrong place."
Jacob frowned. "It's six feet."
"Six feet onto Shadow Rock land."
"That barely makes any difference, Luna."
"It does to the people whose land you're on."
He leaned back in the chair.
Elise waited.
Two years ago, Jacob had been one of the young fighters following Reid around the training grounds. He had filled out since then, grown more confident, and somehow become worse at admitting when he'd screwed up.
Finally, he sighed.
"So I move the fence."
"Yes."
"All of it?"
